Gilmour for me, thought he was outstanding. No real problem with giving it to Mitchell, held the ball up well today and his goals seem to have given him his swagger back. Aldershot have been scoring goals for fun and we made them look ordinary today, it's been complete turnaround from the FGR game a few weeks ago when I wondered where our next goal would be coming from. Not one real poor performance and our strength in depth provides a very nice selection dilemma for Jim moving forward. |

Blackpool Gazette says move has been delayed but when it happens it will be season long. Don't mind that, thought he looked alright last season and will provide ample cover with EEL out and Ferguson's less than stellar injury record. |

Considering he probably wasn't expected to get called upon quite so early (if it all), he had a decent game and looked pretty composed. I thought Kyron Gordon had a great game, particularly linking up with TAR in the second half. I was almost in line with the Yeovil header after McNicholas gifted them the clearance and didn't think it crossed it the line though I would like to see it again. That error aside he had a solid game. |

Pretty tedious. Dale had much of the possession without ever really threatening, Mitchell and Rodney again anonymous, presumably Rodney is over his virus from last season but he looks well off the pace. Burger did alright when he came on. Somebody told me FGR are amongst the favourites for promotion which shocked me, they looked decidedly ordinary as well. Gilmour subbed off with what looked like hamstring, hopefully not too bad. Another point gained from a game that last season we probably would've contrived to lose but at the moment it's really difficult to see where goals are going to come from. |

Seems like a gamble very much in the Afuye mould, let's hope for better results. 25 is knocking on for a 'prospect', best of luck to the fella. |

I was far from convinced after his first few appearances but thought he improved with more games under his belt and he got used to the physicality of the league. He's only 21 and played a dozen games at this level, obviously the management have seen something they like and it's a bit harsh to write him off. |

Good for him, always put a shift in despite the infuriating lack of end product. Seems he's now added that to his game after bagging double figures this season and his career is on an upward trajectory. [Post edited 21 May 19:59]

Worthing v Braintree in the National League South Final. Seeing as Worthing is about 8 miles up the road from me, I rather selfishly want to see them come through. |

Bit harsh to write Brooks off after a handful of games. Most were critical of Bazunu during his time at Dale, though admittedly we were in League One at the time, and he's now earning rave reviews and International caps. On the flip side, Moulden was a fan favourite but was roundly panned on here by our Northampton friend a few weeks ago. Goalkeepers are a funny breed. |

We can all look back misty eyed on the good old days of 40-50 years ago when players were allowed to kick lumps out of each other without recourse and teams employed hatchet men specifically to target more talented members of the opposition. When football was a 'mans game'. But I've read so many stories from players of that era who had their careers hampered or wrecked by the kind of challenges people seem to be so nostalgic for. There's a hell of a lot wrong with the modern game but attempting to cut down on dangerous and reckless tackles isn't one of them. Players, including Mitchell, know you just can't dive in like he did any more, regardless of winning the ball first. I appreciate others hold different opinions, but it was naive at best. I've owt against Kairo or the club standing by him. I'd be happy (but shocked) if an appeal is won. |

Was it 'clearly' a bad decision though? Some on here (including myself), don't think so. Would people be so quick to defend the tackle had it been a Pools player cleaning out Nevett? Or Hayes? |

I would agree it was a game today between two sides who look like they can't wait for the season to end, but I don't see how that equates to us 'mugging' them. Hartlepool didn't do nearly enough to kill us off after taking the lead and we kept plugging away with 10 men, they have no cause to feel robbed. Particularly as it was a contentious red card anyway. |

Wouldn't say we mugged them. Thought they were quite poor after their goal when we were probably there for the taking, last 10-15 we deserved a point. |

OK, maybe I overreacted a bit (it was early), but I would still maintain that going on to another team's board to tell them how dross and lucky to be a professional one of their former players is, isn't going to achieve much. Anyhow, apologies to Cobbler |

There must be countless examples through time of players held in high esteem by one set of fans moving on and for one reason or another not performing at their new club, it happens. But to take the time to register on his former team's board and start a thread ranting about it is a bit strange, almost like you find us personally responsible. |

Pretty emphatic win, in complete control for most of the game. Should finally put to bed any lingering doubts about being dragged into any relegation battle, on that evidence though Eastleigh will be looking nervously over their shoulders tonight. |

It was from our right, I think it was Gilmour got turned far too easily by Quigley to get the cross in. |
