Other thing I think I remember about Nygaard was a home game (Watford or Luton I think), when he was back helping out, a long cross came over and he inexplicably put his hand above his head and handballed it for a stonewall pen. Absolutely ridiculous |

As someone who's never managed to get to more than 5/6 away games a season, that match remains one of my favourite away game memories! I still smile every time I think of the chant, hats off Tonto! |

Young Boys, as well. Mostly not very good, either |

Remember one one of the podcasts about a month or so back, Marti was asked why he'd been unavailable for a recent game and he said that he'd been unwell/ill but would be available soon - made it sound like a cold! Obviously nothing since then. Seem to remember GA churning out a similar line when asked on a podcast as well. Must be a dreaded question for Marti - how is he going to answer it if asked again, if the club is insisting on not letting the fans know what's actually going on?! Not being able to make the bench yesterday makes me think we may never see him again (yes, we might say good riddance I know, but what a waste of the club's money) |

Just to echo what others say and you've heard a million times before - but thank you. Am a proper lurker, would post more but find it hard enough to keep up with reading all the interesting Rangers threads as well as all your previews, reports, and the the patreon content. And keeping up with all of life's demands! I don't know how you do it, but the content's always gold and always worth the time (and small Patrón subs!). Let's hope it's a better 2024, for you and Rs, starting tomorrow. Will be there in hope if not expectation |

Wonderful post, Ned - thank you for sharing such a lovely tribute on the forum. All the best to you and yours at this difficult time, and may your dear dad rest in peace. |

Another depressed dad like you and Kingsbury. We missed the Watford game so Wigan was the last time she saw a home win. The curse, indeed. I've said I won't take her again until we've got someone else in as manager - but I do wonder what a difference it will make, the club is so rotten at the moment, as several have noted. Haven't had the energy to post until now but I think it was when we were 3-0 down, I noticed a boy and his (gran?)dad in the row behind us, both silently sobbing. Didn't know if I should feel more sorry for the lad, maybe at his first game, Rangers kit on etc, or the bloke - watching that shotshow unfold in front of him and feeling that his club was disolving in front of his eyes. Someone said the club needs to burn down to come back stronger and it does feel like that - where will the lowpoint be? |

Thanks as always, Clive! Glad you're not ready to let go of Kane to Sheff Utd for 11 million or whatever it was |

Nice thread name... Can't see beyond getting walloped I'm afraid, after last week's non-performance and now no Jimmy Dunne or replacement centre-back in time to play (I don't think). 5-1 |

Yes "Do we think Oxford had better players than us or just that they were better drilled and better organised" Well, no matter how well Willock might have played for us in the past, he didn't look very good today. But then if you don't really want it, then you won't look very good. And there was a lack of desire from several today Others just aren't very good - hard to know whether they ever will do but our second half centre backs have never played a minute of professional comeptitive football, I believe? Hardly surprising they were shown up against a League One team. |

Cheers- I now see another poster asked the same question on the Gaz thread. It looks like either he can't organise a team (unlikely based on Wycombe, albeit mainly at a lower level), or he players can't/won't do what he wants (mmm....) |

Before people jump, Let me clarify that I have been willing Gaz to succeed from the beginning and that won't change... I am usually in the happy clappers camp and I know it was a friendly... However, with about 15 minutes left, the thought occurred to me... could Gaz actually resign after this? Along the lines of "you know what, I really have bitten off more than I can chew with this one, given the state the club is in, and my previous experience. I can't see how I'm going to get this lot doing what I need". Unprecedented for a Rangers manager to step back so close to the start of the season, but sure it's happened elsewhere. I expect we will be properly tonked at Watford and it won't be the last one this season. However, I am also sure that Gaz will not be here for the season if we keep playing like tthat |
