These transfers are dragging on a bit, aren't they? I remember when players were so keen to sign that they sat in the car in South Africa Road, waiting to be called in. Well, one anyway. |

Refreshing topic. Not of much interest to our regular whine merchants. |

Do we assume that no 'sensible' people are looking in at the moment, Sonic? |

The club must know best, but this move disappoints me. I saw him as part of the squad - versatile and an under-developed talent. I hope that he comes back better for the Dundee experience. |

Highfield Road always looked OK (to me) and it was England's first all-seater stadium. |

Much of it was sleep-inducing, but we always read too much into pre-season friendlies. What disappointed me, above all, was that there were so few occasions when anyone tried to do something different or exciting. After all, it was a pre-season friendly against what should have been inferior opponents. |

What would you do with that money? He may want to... and more. |

What an enjoyable game that was. We all know that we should not draw too many conclusions from pre-season friendlies, when so many players are trying to get fitter and up to speed, but without getting hurt. But, just compare the 0-2 defeat by Spurs with that defeat at Oxford, last year. We have come a long way; we have refreshed our football identity; the players seem to be enjoying it and the young ones show great promise. All this is not enough to win the league, but, there is no reason why we should not have an exciting season. Bring it on! |

Yes. To look like a pint of Guinness. It will distract the opponents. |

When I was a lad, I received 'Soccer Coaching' by Walter Winterbottom as a Christmas present. He sounded good. Is he still around? |

Of some importance is what his QPR colleagues think. They are in Spain working on preparation for the new season. He is (at home/on holiday) and is not part of the planning and preparation. Is he so good that he could just sign a new deal and drop back into the squad as if he had never been away? Probably not. Sadly, I think it is 'Thanks for the memories Chris. We wish you well wherever you go.' |

Fair comment. But, at times I sense that his colleagues are reluctant to give him the balL. Am I imagining that? |

I have enjoyed watching Chris at his best at QPR. But, the way that this saga has dragged on means that he has to go. The focus must be on the players that are contracted. I wish him well, somewhere else.s |
