I hope some succession planning is going on behind the scenes in case this happens, or one of the many others he’s been linked with. Rosenoir would be a good fit I think . |

Me too . Feel nauseous whenever hearing his lying voice on radio ads - gigs he gets due to winning I’m a Celebrity. All the housewives voted for him because he said how much he loves his wife. Obviously that makes him a good bloke. Fraud |

A mate of mine had a bet on us pre season @ 33-1 to win the league that season |
| Forum Reply | Chris Willock at 20:55 4 May 2024
Willock finally came vaguely near us as the players were leaving the field and offered a token clap. IMO he’s been mugging us off all season with a series of half-arsed performances with a few exceptions. Then he qualified for the Matthew Rose award by turning it on when he wanted to be in the shop window. He’s a fraud and Marti let us down by playing him today. Harsh maybe but his attitude stinks. Not someone I’d applaud when he comes back to play against us . |

Sorry to be a killjoy but these ‘ spontaneous’ things are rarely that. Usually people with phones on video so they can upload on social media , like the last game of the season where we get a spontaneous pitch invasion of blokes with young kids - great parenting that. .There has to be zero tolerance of this - those fines are much better spent on player budget |

If I’m not mistaken Ainsworth played him there at WBA last season in the 2-2 draw and everyone gave him pelters for playing him out of position. I’ve always loved Jimmy’s attitude even when the going was tough- that’s when the real characters put their head above the parapet when others were hiding. |

As Chris said , the Watford lineup ( defence especially) was partly foisted on GA. He obviously wouldn’t have wanted to start with Gubbins and a half fit Fox at CB but there literally was nobody else . Even now our 2 best CBs are injury prone and it will be a miracle if they are ever present to the end of the season. |

But W12, how many of today’s starting 11 were signed by Ainsworth ( let’s keep some dignity in the debate and not resort to cheap insults) ? It’s becoming more and more apparent that the problem is the players more than the various managers. We now have a different style of play but same old 5hit . Like it or not GA kept us up last season and it remains to be seen whether we achieve that this season. We’re all hoping that Marti can unearth a Gyorkores type striker- actually a Rob Steiner would do nicely. Don’t hold your breath though . |

Pi55ing with rain in South Bucks but so far escaping the wind. |

Brum are 5 th in the table- didn’t they once sack Rowett when 7 th and appointed Zola ? That went well! To be fair We don’t know if he signed those wasters or if they were signed for him . |
| Forum Reply | Neil Warnock at 20:59 8 Oct 2023
Long after Warnock leaves this Earth people will still want him back as manager . Then again almost anyone is better than Nathan Jones . Relegation or not we can’t sell our soul as a club by having people like him involved. It was bad enough having Barton here . That’s not what we are about. |

Sterling effort Baz - I think in summary everyone would make different decisions with the benefit of hindsight. Although the day after Wembley I said there and then Redknapp had to go . For me that was the biggest error, and predictable and it’s been killing us for years. |

Yes fair enough W12 and a bit harsh to dig out Chair but we’ve all played in teams where there’s a bloke who thinks he’s too good for the team. Since the World Cup he has given off that vibe. Not the same player since then and expectations of him are higher because he has ability to do better. |

Welcome to how the midfield looks without Field. Full of more holes than a Swiss cheese. Agree about Chair. Invariably takes the wrong option; never ever plays in Paal on the overlap ( soon he won’t bother making the runs) ; shoots from too far out usually straight at the keeper. And let’s not talk about dead balls . The free kick into the school end on 45 minutes was pure pub football. |

With you there Brian . Those clackers are massively annoying and we like to stereotype FFC fans as posh boys in cords but generally they’re a decent bunch unlike that other filth also based in Fulham. |
| Forum Reply | Ever randomly walked past a celebrity at 21:57 5 Sep 2023
Never saw Stan in Roddy’s ( my office is about 100 yards away) - the guvnor Richard is an Rs fan . Did often see Stanley in the Brentford pubs though eg The Griffin . OP asks about walking past a celeb, but presumably running also counts. A few months ago on my Sunday morning run near Beaconsfield I was overtaken by Sophie Raworth in the middle of nowhere. No shame in that as she’s a very good runner and runs a mean marathon. |
