Because we thought it was a risk worth taking like other deals that we've done. Some of those worked. This one hasn't. We move on. |

Does anyone have an idea of the state of his mental health? In which case how can you call it either way? |

Probably not impossible. Along with whatever other BS our overlords have lined up for us in 2025. |

Cheers Clive. Happily take the point but classic QPR to get so close to all three. Given both teams' current form the Watford game could be a total goat rodeo. No idea what to expect. Other than the 12.30 kick off putting a dent in the home support volume I reckon. Fcking Sky. |

Truly amazing how old some of the posters are here on this forum. Either that or they have a time machine. |
| Forum Reply | Promotion to the Premier League is tough. But is survival effectively impossible? at 09:34 31 Dec 2024
I'd be curious to see stats for teams promoted from the Championship and their amount of spend on players before/during their first season in the Prem. Obviously we got it totally wrong spending far too much on by and large a bunch of wrong uns; but then you have the likes of Burnley who managed to stay up by not really spending. Even Luton nearly managed it last season by keeping faith with the same players who got them promoted (but then you look at them now - bit of an odd one). So my feeling is you don't need to spend a lot to survive, but of course any new players you do sign need to be absolutely right. |

I find myself agreeing with Numpty! Richards was clearly another one of those punt signings we try, sadly it hasn't worked out. |

Also isn't muscle heavier than fat? So while footballers these days are much more impressive physical specimens, there's probably a bit more load bearing going on. And in a sport where there's lots of short bursts of sprinting plus all the twisting and turning, that's going to put a lot more pressure on muscles, ligaments and tendons. As I mentioned in an earlier post, maybe players should spend a bit more time in the pub? |

Indeed he did. Although what I've heard is that he borrowed the top from one of the tour crew who was an Rs fan. But Ridgeley isn't actually an R, unfortunately. |

He's 35 years old. And as soon as he's back he'll get suspended anyway. |

I'd say he's a Damien Delaney esque "OK". Typically scores between a 5 and a 7. Need all the defenders we can at the moment. |
