As mentioned in an earlier thread, the multi-storey car park at MediaCityUK is a good option. The car park has over 2,300 spaces, 24/7 security, CCTV and offers match day parking at £10 for 5 hours. The ticket can be pre-paid on arrival meaning that there are no queues when leaving the car park. From the car park it is just a couple of minutes along Broadway and you are on the M602, avoiding all of the match traffic closer to the stadium. The car park is a 15 min walk to the stadium. Once parked up there are pub and food options at MediaCityUK - The Dockyard Pub The Botanist, The Alchemist, Wagamama, Prezzo. Below is a link with directions etc. Remember to prepay your ticket once parked up to avoid any queues at the pay stations when leaving. http://www.mediacityuk.co.uk/visit-us/getting-here/ |

The 1974 game was the first Dale match I ever attended. I and quite a few others were dragged out of school ( All Saints Primary School on Maud St ) and driven over to the ground after the club realised that the press were going to make an issue of the low crowd at the game. I remember standing in the paddock behind the dugout to watch the game. To this day I can't remember what I did wrong in class to deserve a punishment like that ! |

"CHERRIES striker Michael Symes looks set to join Rochdale on loan until the end of the season - if the paperwork can be completed before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline. " - Bournemouth Daily echo |

Just tweeted by richpartington Wouldn't/couldn't say much on John Coleman to Rochdale rumours until I could firm up the story with trusted contacts. I've done that today Dale have been talking to the Accrington boss for the last few days - Accy looking for sum in region of £70k compensation From what I hear, compensation package not so much the problem as the length of contract on offer - that's where talks broke down Thursday But it's far from dead in the water - was always going to be difficult to complete today with Dale going away to Wycombe, Accy to Aldershot |

Fully agree. I think Beech will do well given time. The club is desperate need of leadership & stability which sadly is not forthcoming from messrs Dunphy & co at the moment. The manager has a huge task in front of him trying to clean up the mess eyre has left behind. Confirm it's Beech's job until the end of the season Mr Dunphy and at least and we can all start pulling in the same direction rather than having this constant speculation & uncertainty. |

Agree, Beech will do fine & given time will undo the mess we now find ourselves in. Our relegation was not caused by the the sale of O'Grady alone but more by the failure of the board to re-invest any of the proceeds of that sale or the sale of Done, Wiseman etc in half decent replacements.Instead, the new manager had to rely on loan after loan after loan, with the inevitable consequences. Sadly, at the moment, Dunphy & co are playing the same hand again now that Beech has taken over. |
| Forum Thread | Jim'll fix it at 18:06 29 Oct 2011
Dear Jim, Please could you fix it for me for Rochdale to have a decent manager? One who has decent management skills & can motivate his players. Could I also ask for a manager who knows players other than those from Man City youth team? Whilst writing, could I also ask for a chairman who doesn't sell everything that isn't nailed down & then refuses to re-invest in the team despite giving assurances to the contrary? Yours hopefully, Meanwood Dale Oh bollox, too late!, sorry Jim, you will be missed |

Already making quite an impression at Grimsby. Following Grimsby's 5-0 defeat to Braintree, it's not good reading for Elding on Grimsby's forum "I thought Hearn did well with absolutely no support from Elding and he kept grafting until the end. Help me get #eldingisf*ckingsh*t trending in twitter!! I don't like going for the knee jerk reaction having only seen him once but his performance was shocking. Didn't challenge for headers with their centre halfs. When Hearn won a header he didn't run in behind him. He lost his man for the first goal and generally would me up." " Humiliating hardly describes tonight. Although we dominated the first half hour it was still not good and when we did create chances Elding was like a chocolate fireguard. Duffed two good chances and difficult to believe he's so bad in the air for a big guy." " We hit the post and elding should have buried a headed, but instead butted it with all the power of an ameba in to the keepers hands" http://thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1313530127/ |
