Russell Martin will not change. He is a pompous, stubborn clown who thinks he is the pin-up boy of new managers and on his way to takeover from Pep at Man City. He will soon be telling us how 'brilliant' we were apart from the three goals we let in. What a surprise none of the forwards scored. It could be the same story all season. Sports Republic selected Martin and there are still many fans who say give him a chance. So there will be no change and we will soon all know just WHERE to look in the League table for Saints. |

spot on - 78% for Saints - so did we win? 11 players against 10 for much of the match - so did we win? 19 shots to their 3 - we must have won? We should be commenting on a really promising first performance of the new season. Instead its time once again to repeat that we need a goalkeeper and a 'Danny Ings' type finisher!! I'm not angry at the overall performance - and I'm sure Russell will tell us they were all 'brilliant' - I'm just mad that after all this time once again we've" fallen short in the same areas! |

What a surprise! Dont just blame McCarthy - surely it was clear to everyone that we needed a goalkeeper. We are playing 10 men, have 70% possession and we go one down! With a decent keeper this could have been a fortunate but great start to the season. Sadly we didn't get a goaj scorer either so lets just hope it doesn't get any worse. |
