A loan next year maybe, but currently we only have three for strikers!

If he hadn’t got injured, Frey would be on double figures by now.

Where Are They Now?
at 18:58 11 Jan 2025

I’m not sure it’s fair to compare someone who takes a world religion which has survived 2000 years seriously and holds it centrally to how they live their life (as do Eze, Lloyd and I believe Joe Walsh for example) to David Ilke, but each to their own.

Effect on Team Form - Momentum Changer !!
at 17:54 11 Jan 2025

It was a four goal deficit to a premier league team with a weakened starting lineup. Swansea was a three goal deficit to a championship team and it had no impact (quite the opposite).

I think it’ll do them good and maintain focus, hard work and humility for another half dozen championship games. It’ll also result in some managerial decisions being made around certain players that were given a start / another start today - which will be a good thing.

We didn’t get that outcome when we got beaten 3-0 by Swansea (in the league with a full strength team) - quite the oposite. Don’t get me wrong, I’m far from happy - just glad the defeat wasn’t in the league.

Annoying, but let’s win the next four league matches and we’re top 8.

Second half - bring Lloyd on for Madsen and move Chair central.

I think Martí has the starting lineup right. If, for example, Dunne got injured for a few weeks we’d be knackered and it would likely cost us a point a game over the next month of football.

Must say, I’ve seen a lot of sharp shooting from him in pre-match warm ups at Loftus road. Always finds the net with a crisp shot.

Agreed. That track back and slide tackle on 90mins won if for field for me. Brilliant.

Having attended matches with autograph hunting kids and having stood in the cold after matches for hours on end over the last year I can confirm that he is a really likeable guy. Always friendly, smiling and really engaging with the younger fans. Top, top character and a credit to the club - I really like him.

Moment of the Match - Sam Field on 90 Minutes

Totally agree… I made a mental note to show my daughter that today as Sam Field is her hero and she’s an “8” as the trendy football people call them these days - show her that it’s a line-to-line role and not just box-to-box.

It would be a disaster for the brainiacs behind the super league… they’d have to put that on ice for a decade until Manure are re-established as one of their beloved ‘big six’.

Watford - giving it the biggun’
at 18:44 1 Jan 2025

Have I missed something somewhere? From the Watford message boards, Watford seem to have a misplaced impression that they are bigger than QPR and somehow our ‘cup final’. A very strange team and lack of self awareness indeed.

Maybe, but even if it’s only a month or so, the club are clearly spooked by the impact of losing one or any combination of our main three CB’s… “The likes of Morgan Fox and Jake Clarke-Salter have also had injury problems, prompting the club to look to make a signing during the January transfer window.”

Two thoughts/queries re Swansea
at 10:42 29 Dec 2024

3-5-2… JCS in the middle with Field on the left and Dunne on the right. Smyth as RWB and Saito as LWB. Chair up top with Frey. Whatever we have left in midfield.

…there you go. 3 points sorted.
