How do you know he can't control a ball, he's not played more than just a few minutes for us.
I'm not defending Tall Paul just making the point that he's not been given a chance.
Being a gambling man I'd put money on him scoring more goals in the Premier Lge than Adam Armstrong.
BUT,we'll never know. |

At least he'd give the opposition something to think about.

To be honest Tall Paul has never really had a fair crack with us.
Well never know if he could have solved a problem that we've had for years.
He's proven to be able to score goals albeit in lesser leagues but RM never fancied him so he was written off.
If you're face fits with RM (eg. Slack Jack Stephens) you're going to get shoehorned in.
But we can't really criticise Tall Paul because we've not seen him play.
If we aren't going to use him, I hope he finds a club that will. [Post edited 6 Sep 14:03]

Tall Paul & Ross Stewart,
Two strikers we spent Millions on & between them they never scored a goal for the club.

But surely for the sake of the club RM has to understand that we cannot continue with his principles of playing out from the back.
If he cares about the club he should forget he's ego & do what is necessary to get results.
He cannot continue with his suicidal system of playing out from the back.
Get back to basics & we'll be OK. |

Why should Managers or players fight or try very hard.

Rumours are that he's got 4 games to turn things around.
To do that he will have to back down & change his stupid philosophy of playing out from the back.
He ain't going to do that so we're stuck with him & his mistakes for another 4 matches, that's potentially another 12 points lost.
If the board aren't happy with him be brave & get rid of him now before any more damage is done. |

Not a bad strike rate for Sugawara.
He scored in pre season friendly & again on Saturday.
I did watch his videos before we signed him & he looks to be very versatile & a real threat going forward. (we don't have many of them).
But RM will see him as a bit of a risk & leave him out. |

After watching Sugawara's terrific strike with his left peg against Brentford I just wonder if its an option to play him Left wing back & allowing KWP to revert to his favoured Right wing back position.
Sugawara is obviously more comfortable using his left peg than KWP.
It would give us better balance & hopefully more deliveries into dangerous areas. |

Stephen's will say whatever he has to,
to make sure he gets shoehorned into the side.
RM thinks the players enjoy playing this tippy tippy risk game, is he saying that they are happy to lose providing they stick to that stupid system.
If that's the case then someone needs to have a some very stern words with both RM & the players.

Considering that RM spent all of his career playing as a defender he should understand the basics of defending, but he obviously doesn't.

ABK is a better defender than Stephens & THB but there's very little chance RM will play him because he's not committed to the club, he wants away, shame really because he's a monster & could beef up our lightweight defence
As for leaving Sugawara out, that's crazy have you watched the 3 games he's played in, he's been our best player.
I actually think he's better than KWP, he's much more direct & provides great deliveries into the box. |

Martin doesn't know any other way of playing it's the only system he's used & it worked OK at MK Don's & it got us promoted BUT, I still believe with the squad we had last year that Mickey Mouse could have got us promoted.
Yes RM got us up but he made very, very hard work of what should have been a doddle. |

RM expects his players to be brave & take risks but he's not even brave enough to leave Stephen's out.
This cliche about risk & reward is rubbish if the risks you take cost you goals & there is no reward at the other end.
"STOP TAKING RISKS AT THE BACK & TAKE A FEW UP FRONT".
All the time we're carrying passengers like Stephen's & Adam Armstrong then we're in trouble. |

That's the problem no matter how good our keeper is our defenders are just not good enough to play tippy tippy across the back.
Most of the goals conceded are coming from defenders giving the ball away.
So albeit McCarthy wasn't great it wasn't all down to him that we were conceding.
I feel for Ramsdale having to play behind that defence, hope he knows what he's let himself in for.
But if RM would see sense & allow our defenders just do what they are good at which is defend then perhaps we have a slight chance of winning games.
He's said he won't change so we're are going to get some hammerings in this season. |

Martin keeps repeating himself by saying don't blame the players, blame me it's my fault.
If he knows he's making mistakes why doesn't he change, that's what good managers do.
Your stubbornness RM will get us relegated.
We invested in new players now do the right thing & give them a Manager that knows what he's doing. |
