Heard about this on Talksport a couple of months ago. Non season ticket holders, which included members continually struggle to get tickets for home matches despite being online when they are released as it seems that there are ‘touts’ using systems that buy up huge amounts of tickets immediately which are then sold to such sites as Vividseats. I suspect that none of this is happening and that the tickets are withheld and placed on Vividseats for sale to overseas supporters as to be frank clubs like North Battersea benefit much more hugely from such supporters as they are more likely to spend £500 in the club shop then your average neandrathal. Tom Bola or whatever his name is is a typical yank businessman, just in it for the cash. Let’s hope that the PL don’t bottle the current investigation about illegal payments made by the Russian war criminal and deduct a shedload of points and give a huge fine. |

Meant to say that Glenn Matlock had a QPR flag draped over his amp, in pink. |

Well three of them at least, Glenn Matlock, Paul Cook and Steve Jones, plus their mate Frank Carter at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust were absolutely fantastic. A great night and a worthy night. Didn’t get a chance to see them at the Bush Hall last summer as was on holiday, but glad I managed to get to see them live. |

Mike, pass on my best wishes to Dave for me, unless of course the great man is reading this forum. I would suggest that if someone could get to the C&S with a bundle of copies for the Cardiff game then they would all be shifted in double quick time. |

It’s about a mile walk from the ground but you cannot beat the Vine for decent grub and good priced beer. |

Terrible news. Loved The Jam growing up. Still have every single with picture covers and all the albums. RIP Rick. |

I met Warnock at a charity game at HQ post season. He was so pleased to be part of the day and was due to do-commentate on the National League play off final. Didn’t want to leave as he really was enjoying himself with the supporters who turned up to play. Was so interested in our experiences and stories of supporting the team. A real football lover and a really charming person. At that game I asked him about the prospect of getting Taarabt back for the next season, he looked at me and just said. He’ll be back. The rest is history. He was screwed by Ecclestone post promotion not allowing players that he wanted such as Ashley Williams, Routledge and the Swansea forward who allegedly bought a house in Harlington. He had a list of players that in my view, complemented by the championship winning team that would have seen us comfortable in the Prem in the first season. Instead it was a last minute trolley dash that saw us buy some players either at inflated prices on inflated wages. |

It is very unlikely that we will achieve sixth place and it makes me wonder if we had a mediocre start to the season instead of a disastrous one where we would be now. Looked at last season after 33 games and we were third bottom on 32 points after beating Bristol City away. So for me having a 12 point improvement is this seasons story so far. Happy with that. |

There was a better photo opportunity when Dunne went over to celebrate Saito’s goal and promptly picked him up like a young child and placed him on his hip! |

How the ref didn’t see the blatant push on Cook by Thomas is incredible. Right in front of the ref. Pushed Cook to the floor who didn’t have time to recover to challenge for the header. [Post edited 11 Feb 21:40]

From what I have seen so far Alfie Lloyd is a far better footballer. Causes more trouble for opposition defences without constantly looking for a foul. Great bit of business to get rid of him. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if Yang was loaned to us for the whole of next season if this loan goes well |

If he didn’t have the good fortune of making a career out of football then I’m certain he would be in the same place as his half brother for a similar type of crime. No respect for the rest of society at all. |
 | Forum Thread | Mick Leach at 10:47 23 Jan 2025
Been watching a few of the excellent season reviews of the 70’s, which correct me if I’m wrong are the responsibility of DaveB and Mick Leach features quite often popping up to score goals or provide assists. As a youngster back then I remember Leach well and sadly he was always overshadowed by the better known stars of that era. By the time of the 76’ side he was mainly the sub but scored some vital goals. But the reviews really did highlight what a decent player he was, never gave up, had a decent turn of speed, scored some cracking goals with either foot and wasn’t too shabby with his head either. And the way he brought the ball down on the touchline at Wolves in 1973 and in one motion flicked the ball past their right back who eventually brought him down for a penalty which brought out fourth goal, pundits today would be dribbling madly over such skill. Leach was a real QPR man and it was sad that he passed so early in his life. |

Don’t know what site you were looking at but I’ve just had a look on the ground site map on the offish and there is only around 100 or so tickets left around the ground with ER all but sold out. |

Well that was a 1-0 thrashing if ever I saw one. But for their keeper we would have had 4 or 5 plus Field missing that one at the end. Very poor Plymouth side, producing the sort of performance that we would normally turn in at home with a 12.30 kick off. Top half of the table and six points from the play offs. This has been some turnaround, initially we did look fragile at the start of this run, excluding a couple of performances but now we are starting to look like a team to be reckoned with. Don’t think anyone had a poor game today. Well done R’s! |
