| Forum Reply | Karl Oyston Step Down - A Petition at 13:12 15 May 2015
Thought this was an excellent post in the comments section on the petition I have been a supporter for over fifty years. I have Worked in a number of voluntary roles, for and behalf of the club, including being a committee member of the Save Blackpool Football Club group that lobbied for council loans to prevent the club from going under in the days when Ken Chadwick was chairmen. I have taken great pride in the club's (rare) moments of success and (above all) it's good name and standing in the world of football (nationally and internationally). To see the serial under investment and by extension, under achievement following the unprecedented financial windfall garnered as a consequence of promotion to the premier league has been soul destroying. Even more so, has the miserable decline from the high point of public acclaim during that PL season to humiliation of being the sorry objects of pity that we are now. For someone to be in total control of all the elements that pertain to the destiny of my beloved club and to serially crush hope and ambition, is bad enough. But to compound that felony by sullying the good of the club and the town by vile, needless, self indulgent, hurtful text messages, goes beyond the pail. Anyone with a scrap of decency would have apologised (genuinely) and at least offered to resign. The fact that you, Karl Oyston, have not, is to your eternal discredit. |

Favourite for a fifth term as FIFA President - no corruption in football right? [Post edited 7 May 2015 18:38]

Nothing on his Twitter or Facebook page - be interesting to hear that first interview with him and what he feels about the future. As many have said, it's easy enough to activate the contract extension but it's whether the player is willing to stay and play that is the crucial thing. |

Do you know I have become so sick of losing and because I really do hate the Trotters so much, wouldn't it be nice just to pull off a win today. They're no great shakes with loads injuries - let's see a vision of the future with Cubero, Madine, O'Hara and Orlandi all starting and get that elusive away win. Anyone with me or are we still on the 'hope we lose every game' setting? |

Just goes to show Seasider13 that Blackpool has become a rotten place in the last few years where players feel undermined and we have sent them out with a disadvantage. Hopefully a new crop of players and a new set of ideals might change that but I somehow doubt it. As for this board - I like it - clean - easy to navigate and surprised more don't use it. |

To be honest I didn't really get those guys who had season tickets, went to the demo and didn't go in. It's your club not the Oyston's and no one should stop you watching your team. Oh and Os - think this is the first time I didn't notice your odds post this season - certainly didn't act on it |

Surprised the 'Get a Draw and Boycott the replay' scenario hasn't more votes - would've thought it might get BBC replay coverage and that could descend in to chaos! |

I think today has been another reminder that there's more important things in life than Blackpool FC. My lovely wife, daughters, grandchildren, job, friends, health .. all of these things are more important than BFC. Thanks Blackpool for a fabulous 30 years - I've lived out some of my favourite memories with you, met some brilliant people who will be life long friends, had some amazing but often very messy away trips and enjoyed countless match days with you. But you have cheated on me, you've made me false promises, you've gone behind my back, you've embarrassed yourself and you've embarrassed me. I think the time has come for us to go our separate ways - I can no longer have you in my life. Goodbye good friend - maybe we'll meet again another day but now is the time to say so long. When I read BRR's review I wondered if he was being a bit harsh on Joe Lewis but am not entirely sure what he was doing there .. least he got a nice hug off Peter Clarke!! |

Think some have gloated a little too much over the way the O's have successfully run the club - don't blame them but surely we can all now see what a money grabbing barsteward he is and every forum should now be advocating Belekon's return? |
