This is shaming our club
Clearly
We shouldn’t be standing for this folks

this game is over bar the score, the board will have to decide the futue of where we go from here, BUT there is no doubt this squad is nowhere near good enough, and as bad as things are the manager has to be part of of what is going on but he can only pick who is available, and he carries the can for that, the squad need quality and every one can see the gulf in class between by far the worst team in the prem to us, and they have hammered us again and again as they are today so the new owners either now make desicions to show ambition or lose even more fans and goodness forbid a defeat next week will kill a lot of season renewals
the fans that have spent hard earned money travelled all that way to be given a performance like that TERRIBLE

Exactly , that's the bit that gets me the most, he can do it, just doesn't.

But his stats are awesome.

He IS the problem.always has been

Have to say Mcglughlin is the worse I’ve seen in our shirt, even worse than Fisher .

He’s an insult . He looks uncomfortable . He looks puzzled, unhappy but he’s getting paid though ,for this

I’ve got to say that this performance isn’t all down to poor players. It’s lack of commitment and a can’t be @rsed attitude which seems to come from behind the scenes. Maybe I’m looking for something but I’m sure it’s playing a part.

Please go before next week. This type of performance will be incredibly embarrassing.

There’s 10 players on the pitch who look clueless but it’s all Grimes fault is it?

Grimes dropping deep consistently puts us under pressure, it was being so deep and the keeper trying to fiuind him that got Grimes booked. If he'd stayed away the ball would have been cleared.

Everything has to go through Grimes and he always slows it down, we rarely commit forward with pace and that IS because of Grimes.

Which player do you think doesn't look clueless? I hope it's not Grimes because he's as bad as anybody else besides the keeper.

It is unfortunately the mindset these days. There are far too many people who build their opinions of players from what they glean on stats websites rather than actually watching games.

"Completed passes in the final third" is one that people often rave about him on. Of course, mostly that's just playing passes from flank to flank. Hurting nobody. Creating nothing. Killing tempo.

You can see that with your eyes on the pitch. You don't need Transfermarkt to tell you that it's pointless. Likewise the five or six touches when two or three will do, the immediate pass back where the ball came from even though he's in yards of space to turn, the runs made by forwards for a pass that if it comes at all comes too late, or behind them.

If I thought he was incapable he wouldn't annoy me half as much as he does.

There’s a number of players in front of Grimes that’s being passed through so easily because we’re so slow in closing down so he’s seeing three red shirts running at him. Not sure what we expect from him. His job is to try and protect what’s behind him (good luck with that) not close down over the half way line.
The manager’s having a mare in my opinion; two full backs in central defence so I’ll drop in a new keeper, that will help won’t it!! Get advanced players to close down when they’re poor at it instead of sitting deep and closing space down and playing on the break. What a shambles, doesn’t he know how the opposition like to play. Shambles.

If the press is not on then you don't do it, you get back into shape but we have seen lone strikers trying to close down the opposition's back line, often the first players chasing down it is usually to isolate the player on the ball and bide time to getting back into a good shape but if you don't get the marking of their movement right then the space just opens, Grimes does not want to join the press, is he right at times not to, yes but his descions to mark a space and not a player has to be called into question, they were passing through our forward line because they could their was always someone spare players making themselves available from the midfield.

The players are listless and clueless .
They are badly coached and don’t feel comfortable
Clearly
This keeper says it all.
It is Williams that is clearly stamping out play .
No team I’ve ever seen passes the ball backwards as often

Sometimes, professional pride helps . We haven’t any

annoys me to see that little shite Mnning lauding it

Tbh that isn't that bad considering how sh!t our GK and CHs are, no injuries, shame we didn't have a bit more squad depth as we would have beaten that shower.

Issue is we had what would be described as our best attack, so if we leave the dire defence aside we still a achieved nothing.

I wasn't expecting a win, but that was an abject capitulation. Make-shift defence apart, we offered almost nothing going forward (bar Joe's effort). Next season, if we lose Darling and Cabango gets injured, I can see a relegation struggle. I'd say the manager has just a game or two to show he can turn things around.

We were second best in all areas today. The only way we woukd have won that apart from taking the field with passion and a will to win would be if those players were our strength in depth and we had 13 first team players on the bench. It was unforgivable.

Can you imagine if we were bottom of the PL on 6 points and we hosted a mid table Championship club. They’d make us work for everything and would probably beat us.

Please go before Cardiff. Please🙏🙏🙏

Someone didn't follow protocol, two quick throw ins down the line putting pressure on the opposition how dare they.

We might have got away with the chances they previously missed before the first goal, goalkeeper makes the wrong decision. Relying on journeys men to stabilise the team last season for the new incoming manager was acceptable , the inability to compete in games, even against a poor Premier league team is not.
Getting on top of games or even staying there has been a problem I was glad to see Grimes go off.

A disappointing, poor showing from us today which underlined how weak our squad is. And the gulf in class between a ( poor ) Premier league team a mid table championship outfit.

Naughton and Christie have been excellent pros but look finished at this level. Naughton could and should have done better for their 2nd and 3rd goals. Our keeper has also enjoyed a good career but he looked so short of match sharpness and wasn’t good enough today although redeemed himself late on. Defensively we weren’t up to it without Cabango and Darling and it could have been a lot worse.

Luckily we only have Cardiff to play next 😉

Grimes goes off and Allen nearly scores....how dare Joe be so far forward, you'll never catch Matty being so adventurous, well maybe one game in 20.

There was no shape to the team at all. Second half it looked like a team of school kids chasing the ball around.
Going in to a game with no centre backs, you might as well accept that it's a game to field some youngsters as a win is going to be a tough ask.
Instead we fielded the same old players and found out nothing about the squad apart from how weak the 2nd choice keeper is.
Williams needs to go
