Farage can get away with being a one topic politician because reform will never form a government. Reform has economic policies but a budget based on those policies would make the Truss/Kwarteng budget look sensible. Farage will not be asked about any other policy but immigration and that’s all he wants to talk about anyway.
I suspect that his plan is to secure annihilation of the Tory party to the point where they are left with a small rump of right wingers who will welcome him back to the fold as leader. Reform therefore becomes the Tory party going forward. He needs to win Clacton for that to happen of course and it will be interesting viewing.
Not forgetting of course that mass immigration was a Labour policy!!
You’re right of course, it’s not the fault of the immigrants themselves. And the Tories have not done anything to redress the situation. Now is the time for some action and Farage is opening this up as he is reacting to a very large group of people.
Well it was an EU policy that Labour apologised for implementing, it was a daft idea.
When the Torys were elected net migration was about 250,000 in 2022 it was 750,000 alll while austerity cut in to public services.
Farage is put under pressure to explain Reform’s “secure detention for asylum seekers” policy.
Reform’s policy is to process asylum seekers rapidly offshore in British overseas territories. When asked which such territories have agreed to this Farage had to admit that it wasn’t very practical and needed to be looked at again.
So clearly Reform made up this policy to appeal to their voters without mentioning it to the Falkland Islands, Montserrat, Gibraltar or maybe the Turks and Caicos islands.
The amount of local people who will vote for him due to the town being ‘overrun’ their words by immigrants may well work for him. He hasn’t chosen Clacton for no reason that’s for sure.
By judging from the absolutely incredible crowd that he has attracted I suggest very much so!
Have you ever tried to stop an armoured brigade advancement by throwing a milk shake at it? There again you could always sh!te on the platform of Liphook railway station so that the guys from REME get a minor distraction?
I previously predicted on here a few weeks back about a general election run-in that would offer soap opera-esque twist n turns! Bleeding bloody obvious innit!
And other politicians aren't? Everyone seems to be targetting him whilst the rest get a free ride.
Targeting because he's a peace of work, knows what some people want hear and he's happy to ride the wave of that want, it'll come to nothing which he already knows, but he'll keep saying shite that's popular. He's a hideous character, I got absolutely no time for him, I won't even listen to him either.

And that’s an opinion you’re entitled to and rightly so. Every politician no matter colour or creed should be able to canvas safely. If you don’t like what they promote then that’s what the ballot box is for.

I'm no fan of Farage, but he has a right to voice his opinion, otherwise we can forget about democracy.
