Why isn’t anyone talking about the England team. 4-0 is a decent result no matter who the opposition is. 14 goals scored and only one conceded in 3 qualifying games so far. Exciting, young, talented team. two semifinals in the last two international competitions. This is priceless.

The BBC says that England haven’t lost a qualifying game in World Cup or European cup qualifiers in a decade. That doesn’t sound completely right coz I thought we lost to Belgium recently, but if the Beeb say it i guess it must be true. Ten bloody years! That’s crazy!!

Poll: Who is the Best QPR Chairman in the last 25 Years?

This is a team to be proud of imo, a young squad with a good manager who try to play on the front foot while having a good work ethic. I can never understand the lack of interest in our national team especially when the games are aired free on ITV

Poll: Of the 3 linked away, who do you think will still be a QPR player come February?

I've been to England twice now and hated both times. Not having a dig, I'm sure you had a good day out and it was footy and drinks, but I just don't get it. Awful atmosphere, I don't feel like celebrating a 2nd/3rd/4th goal Vs Bulgaria, and impossible to get in and out on transport. I'd much prefer going to a local game, cheap beer, exciting matches and local pubs. Just my opinion though

It bears no relation to watching Rangers. The football is almost incidental. Just a good excuse to get out of the house and have a few beers with some good mates.

At the end of the day it's £20 and two stops on the Jubilee line.

Agree with Clive though it would be way better to send more games on the road. Wembley games are 10 a penny.

I had £5 on Kane first goal and England to win 4-0 . After resiting the urge to cash out at 4-0, I collected £115. Very pleasing.

The last game we lost in a qualifier was indeed to Ukraine after we had already qualified for South Africa 2010. This was a online PPV match and we were down to 10 men early doors when the England goalkeeper got himself sent off. No prizes for naming which future QPR clown that was?

The old cliche - we can only beat what is put in front of us and that was 11 cloggers who set up to defend in numbers. What a player Raheem Sterling is maturing in to though, with him playing up with Kane and the likes of Rashford, Sancho and Hudson Odoi all coming through, we will have a forward line up with anyone else in the world. Plus, by 2022, Eze will be ahead of Ross Barkley won't he?

Since 2018 (last year) we have played in two semi finals.

Had a World Cup Golden boot winner.

Topped a 3 team group including Spain and Croatia in the Nations league.

As mentioned the last World Cup/Euro qualifying defeat was in 2009, for a tournament we had already qualified for.

The last qualifying defeat prior to that was November 21st 2007 to Croatia on that disastrous night with the Wally with the Brolly and Scott Carson 12 years ago!

This is team is young and trying to play good football and with a fit Kane and Sterling in the form of his life it is very exciting to watch, especially for £20 in the glorious sunshine.

This board has always been Anti England and always will be, either don't bother watching or people say they would prefer to watch Coronation Street, tend to get more post when England play under par.

With next years Euros we will have 2 to 3 group games at Wembley and with both Semi Finals and the Final being at Wembley I think England have a really good chance of making the last 4 and beyond...... get behind them.

Don't give a toss for the England team, or English football, except for the league my team is in.

National football has been dead since the Terry Venables era IMHO.

I just have no passion for it mate. Maybe one day it will return, but if i am to be very honest, i only really had it as a lad when Rangers players were involved.... Francis, Bowles etc.

I'm slightly jaded by Rangers too if i'm to be honest, but am seeing a glimmer of light this year, in that department.

Wake me up when we select footballers instead of Bonehead cloggers for these games, if we start with Sancho, Mount, Madison against Kosovo then i will tune in, if we start with the likes of Barclay and Henderson ill pass

it so easy to qualify these days, there is no real contest playing minor countries, thats whey a lot of people dont get excited. its like watching a race between a hare and a tortoise, predictable and boring no matter how much you love the hare

I still support the England team, I just don't have any affinity with any of the players.
I don't watch the premier and their interviews are all done after media training. On top of this, is their obscene wages.
I have tried, that's just it. It used to come naturally.
I never thought I would feel this way.

Greens sending off was unfortunate, most refs would have given a yellow card. You say it as if he was at fault. I was behind that goal in amongst the local ultras who took no prisoners !!!

Looking forward to Tuesday actually, it will be good to see us up against a decent team, hopefully we can raise our game and cut out the defensive frailties

Didn't go yesterday but watched at home , ITV not great but I did enjoy the chat with Hoddle on the 1979 Bulgaria game which was postponed due to fog and then played the next night as it was one of my early England games

Any recommendations for a late night drink ???

Being away in Porto for the Holland game this summer rekindled my interest in England which was waning a touch
The atmosphere at England away is fantastic
Wembley is limp in comparison due to ridiculous “positive profiling”

As noted above the current set up is quite likeable and despite having no empathy with the Premiership fancy dans they are at their clubs, I find them very supportable

Three Lions

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I find the England of Southgate far more likeable than the prancing, slack-jawed entitlement we saw during the 'Golden Generation'. Match after match of trying to crowbar Lampard and Gerrard into the same team, Beckham's pace dwindling to nothing, no left wing option so resorting to playing Emile Heskey out wide, John fcuking Terry...

I'd rather watch this team play and lose than revert to that dreck.

However, that England, ahem, 'band' is a joke that stopped being funny about 20 years ago. I feel sorry for the poor gits who have the misfortune of buying seats in front of that lot.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

I think a lot depends on the generation your from, fortunate to be a 10 year old in 66 and yes every one of that team as far as I was concerned 'walked on water'.

You only got the FA cup and maybe a few other games live on the box so to see so many n the space of weeks was absolute joy for us kids.

I was brought up in North London and you was a 'gunner' or a 'spud' ,at that age i was neither but still went to many a game at Highbury and WHL with my young friends, if I recall cost about 5 bob (25p) and to see my heroes playing for their club teams was like being in heaven.

Finally caught the QPR bug in early seventies when taken along by a friend who's dad was an R, but yes I did see just so many of players you only read about in the Sunday paper sport section or MOTD on a Saturday night.

England sewn into my soul and over the decades to have so many false dawns is heart breaking, especially when they were lauded as the 'best in the world' and proved so often no where near it.

The current band of merry men are showing good traits and I know hope springs eternal but lets just see if GS can keep producing sides that bring back just hints of Mr Moore
and my heroes of 66.

He really is at the moment.

Whilst I can understand people falling out of love with watching England for various reasons, it's very hard not to like the current manager, group of players and way we approach games.

This team is so young it could stay together for many years, and with the like of Kane and Sterling and whole crop of exciting players coming through, a manager not afraid to change players that keeps everyone on their toes.

My sons are 5 and 8 - going to be a great time to be an England fan for a good few years for them.

Don't get this campaign for Madison to play. England caps shouldn't just be handed out for a bit of form over the first few games of the season. His time will come but no harm in letting him wait it out IMO.
