What a season we are having. One minor blip and reading this forum you'd think we were fighting for football league safety. Not one single person on this forum could do a better job than Keith Hill, so stop moaning about his tactics and signings. So what if RNL and brady haven't lived up to expectations... yet. How many miracle signings has Keith made in the past. As for todays performance everyone is liable to a bad day at the office. How many of you lot have had a day from hell. Lets push on and enjoy the rest of this season which is turning out to be one of the best in the clubs history.

Its not 1 minor blip - great season in context yes, what it could have been no. I am not sure who is to blame and tbh starting to care less by the week.
I think KH is great, Think Board are great, Think everything we generally do is great - but fans are now an asset like Done was.
Feel free to believe what you want but when we end up missing play offs by 5 points or whatever and everyone says "If only we had kept/repalced MD".
I think the directors need to just be honest and say what the truth is - remarkably that may increase the crowd!!!! |  |

These rallying cry type threads are pathetic.
The manager got it wrong.
The injuries completely screwed us.
We got beat 3-0 (again) by our closest rivals and it could have been more in the end.
We're well within our rights to dissect the performance and have a moan without having some self righteous tosh shoved down our throats. Everything you've said is already well known to the large majority. I haven't seen one person post anything that could be considered even remotely irrrational or kneejerkish.
We're all behind the team and the manager.
This defeat and performance will hurt for a while but most of us will have moved on in a couple of days.

Well maybe I have mis-understood the mood post oldham and this has probably been done to death on another thread but I also feel there is a flat atmosphere (Pearl st) at the moment, when I feel the whole place should be buzzing just like Spotland was in our Centenary year. As for Hill he has a thread bare squad and limited resources. The stadium saga has been drawn out (i know probably not the clubs fault), he gets the odd idiot behind him shouting needless abuse (which has hit a nerve in the past), and the ridiculous amount of jobs becoming available (could work in our favour due to his job security compared to everywhere else in the country). I hope not but all it takes is a knee jerk reaction for him to have had enough and to take up a less secure better paid job somewhere else. The clubs NEVER been more financially stable.If his squads threadbare hes had ample opportunity to strengthen either via the loan market or a permanent move knowingly a certain player was outbound well before transfer deadline day, and chose not to. | | | |

Yep, most of us have done daft things like that - once. To do it twice would be something else, and he seemed to have a pretty good understanding of that when he returned.

Admittedly, I've only seen brief highlights of the Oldham defeat, but I'm a bit surprised to find two threads where RNL (and Brandy) are getting it in the neck so much. I don't think either were at fault for the three Oldham goals. And neither of them get minutes usually, so chuff knows how you're forming an opinion on em.
I saw RNL for nearly 10 years, from the youth team to the first team, I rated him, but in all that time I still found it impossible to judge him properly, such was his lack of opportunities. But that he stood out in so many of them, no matter how brief, that's what's left me of the opinion that he's a special talent.
However, when so many managers (Keith included, when our manager, and again now) don't seem to trust you to start, or feature regularly, then maybe there's summat about him that's not good enough, something we mere supporters don't see. But how any Dale fans can even begin to judge him or Brandy I'll never know. It'd be like me trying to judge Jabo Ibehre after a few sub appearances. It's daft.

RNL could have done better for the 2nd, letting their player stroll past and cross into the box unchallenged - but he's not on his own. Each goal you could find faults with 3 or 4 players. The thing that stood out for me whenever I've seen RNL , he is talented, but just seems to dawdle in possession, got a great shot on him, but the workrate just seems to be lacking. Not a typical Hill player. | |

We are in 8th place on 53 points - three points behind sixth placed Peterborough with a game in hand - which is a magnificent achievement

Our biggest problem Saturday will be guarding against complacency - looking at the table obviously its a game we are well capable of winning - but with possibly 4 usual starters injured its going to be a very tricky game now. Even though they are bottom Yeovil have drawn away at Preston and beaten Oldham home and away - if we underestimate them or get too far ahead of ourselves and think the 3 points are a cert before we've got them we will be in trouble. Just need to get behind them now for these final games and see what it brings. [Post edited 26 Mar 2015 10:03]

In fact, this is an open invitation to anyone else who believes that the team and manger are exempt from criticism but yet are deserving of all the praise in the world when we win.
