I would say its unlikely to be cruciate as its more than likely a jar injury - I have done my ACL and Meniscus in my right knee and you do not carry on for 10 minutes if you have!!!
DIDDY is partially right in that you can walk on that type of injury but as D_alien says your kneecap is unstable and you have a tendancy to fall over for no reason other than it gives way.
Fingers crossed its a week or 2 and thats it. |  |

Watching it again he twists slightly on landing, its not a major rotation on knee and he is not bearing weight on it - so unlikely he has done cruciate - more likely a strain Col or potentially little meniscus damage - which is not a disaster.
Did not notice if it was iced after the scan - would assume so. | |

That's the sort of brace I had to wear when I did my ACL :-/. Fingers crossed that's not what he's done! From the direction off the impact I would guess it would be one of the other two ligaments I think its the medial and I doubt he's snapped it.

I did my ACL and wore one of those for about 4 months.
Hope as stated elsewhere its only to prevent further injury until it settles down.  |  | | |
