Keith Hill has told Sky that he will not be applying for the Dale manager's job after a flood of bets saw the betting market closed on him.
Rising speculation had made it seem like Keith Hill would be a shoe in for the newly vacant managerial position at Spotland, but the former Dale boss has late on Monday evening told Sky that he wasn't interested.
He was quoted on the Sky website as having spoke diectly to Sky saying: "I can confirm I will not be applying for the Rochdale job. I loved my time at Spotland but I cannot consider the role at this time."
Dale Chairman Chris Dunphy told Radio Manchester earlier in the evening that he hoped to replace John Coleman within the next day or two.
