Season Ticket resale
at 11:45 8 Aug 2024

Completely agree, there should be the ability to name your own (lower) price. If you can't make it, Coventry at 8pm on a Tuesday will be tougher to shift without that option. But obviously the club will want to sell a fresh ticket first, allowing season ticket holders to undercut them was always a generous offer.

Season Ticket resale
at 10:50 8 Aug 2024

Put my Dad's senior ticket on the site yesterday afternoon as he can't make this weekend, was gone within a couple of hours. They sold it at the Gold full price of £38, we got £28.50 back. The club makes a turn on the ticket and booking fee, ensures another body in the ground to buy inflation-busting Carling, and we get some money back.

You could conceivably sell a senior season ticket at full price for every game and get £655.50 back for an investment of £402.00 and offset the loss of your heating allowance.

Congrats! Lots of good advice here, to which I'd only add, when they are very young there will be times that are very stressful, followed by times that you think you've cracked it... whatever the problem was (sleeping, eating, anything).

Pro-tip - enjoy that day/week/week and a half of glory, as something will be coming along behind it to ruin the delicate peace that you've toiled to achieve.

Once you are through the early years and you are able to sleep properly again it's all gravy.

New cheap season tickets

There was also a discount for new tickets during the loyalty window. Bronze was £503 (or £451 if renewing).

Given his age and his physique and his pace, if he has a three month hot streak at any point then he's probably going somewhere for £10m. But logistics mean he can't do that with us, we're absolutely maximising our possible return on him, which is to be applauded after years of Mannings, Bright-Samuels, Willocks, etc...

Begovic - Best QPR Goalie in Years
at 17:46 2 Jun 2024

Sack him off and Walsh or A N Other starts badly, we look like idiots. Offer him a terrible deal that he'd never sign in a million years, if it all goes wrong next season Nourry can say that they offered him a deal but he had his heart set on Al-Ettifaq and we simply had to look elsewhere.

If you get to do the tour of the new training ground, the chap who does it has a good story about that day, the late decision to get the flags, the panic trying to get them made, shipped and put on seats, and how Derby kicked off because they didn't think of it...

End of Term Report 23/24 – Goalkeepers
at 14:13 17 May 2024

Bear with me but, if we like Walsh, and want him to have a chance, is it worth having Begovic around the place? It's naive to think Walsh is going to get through a full season without a blip in form, is it worth having an experienced glove salesman at Harlington to help him through it and maybe step in if required?

No-one else is giving Begovic a deal, so if he wants to stay part of it and is willing to take a monster pay cut (neither of which might appeal to him), would it, perhaps, be worth considering?

If not surely that means getting a new no.1 in, sidelining Walsh again, and next season we've still got Walsh and Salamon, only one of whom can go out on loan this season, limiting the development opportunites of one of them.

QPR Boot Sale
at 09:52 16 May 2024

Just wanted to echo what a horrible experience it is. At least two hours of queuing and no guarantees over what will be left after the very early starters bundle out with binbags full of gear to flog on eBay. If you're after something in particular, I'd give the club shop a call and see if you get down there in advance and pay full whack with your QPR cash to save you the stress.

Paal has played more minutes this season than any other outfield player and has contributed 4 goals from left back. He didn't have a great game yesterday but he is probably running on fumes at this stage.

It was another shambolic decision by the ref. Third of three subs in the same break, but the wind-up merchant is the only one he makes walk around three sides of what by then was a rabid bearpit. Probably gets an upgrade by the assessor for doing the right thing as he was closer to the touchline, but the smarter thing to do would have been to make him run off the pitch. The less said about the rocket scientist who hurled a drink at him the better...

For Willock, maybe the lack of offers he was willing to accept in January has spurred him on to prove himself a bit. I wasn't at Ashton Gate, but to me Saturday was the first time in a very long time that he's been able to run without looking like he's sh1t himself. A fit and interested Willock will be invaluable over the next couple of months, regardless of what he does in the summer.

It was at home to Fulham, 2001. I was in the paddocks and giving Brevett stick, he must have been involved in one of the tackles...

We brought on Bruce and Kulcsar to replace Carlisle and Langley, Fulham brought on Karl-Heinz Riedle, who scored the final goal of a glittering career...
