Boxing has already eaten itself . Look at that debacle on Saturday night at Wembley where the Watford wardrobe got taken out by a very average fighter.

Clubs like ours and competitions like this are an inconvenience to them .
A state owned football club who like Chelsea wouldn’t to compete if they hadn’t been financially doped up to the eyeballs.
Wish they would just f**k off and form their own super league which would no doubt be inhabited by a few teams from the Arab rich nations as well .
It will be the end game so I wish they would get on with it . |

Mostly people nursing one drink for the whole game .
Place emptied at full time .

Watched the game in a bar in Barcelona with two fellow Rs.
Terrible internet connection which was just as well considering what was on offer.
We did catch the last 15 minutes or so which I have to say worried me .

I said before on the thread that there was really good atmosphere in the lower loft standing .
A few new faces in there as it was a cup match but in general the usual grizzled 40 to 60 year olds showed up . Still going nuts and acting like 20 year olds when Field banged that one .
Disappointed at the result but generally happy with the performance and where we are in comparison to this time last year.
I get where Brian is coming but this year is about improving from last years nerve shredding season .
If that’s getting to top ten and making it through a couple of rounds of cup competition, I’ll take it .
Call me Mr unambitous. |

Agreed . Thought the atmosphere was great last night . I’m in safe standing and the general mood was one of positivity despite the defeat .
Looking forward to Chair coming back . He will give the extra 10% we need at the moment.
Ashby and Saito impressed me last night and Dembele added the impetus we badly needed at half time .
Lloyd puts that one in and it was penalties . |

To put things in perspective. Palace have never won a major trophy.
Geuhi and Eze alone are worth a 120 million .
All things considered we ran them pretty close .
Sorry for being defeatist but we’re along way behind even a bottom half premier League team .
At the same time I do think we could have started with a stronger side and possibly gone for a bit . |

Don’t normally go to cup games but went along to the game last night .
Good atmosphere and in fairness not a lot between the to sides apart Eze who ran the show.
Would have liked a longer run but this cup is designed for the premier league teams to win .
It’s the leauge cup but the “ leauge “ teams are being discriminated against.
We’re never going to win it which is the reason a lot of fans are so ambivalent about it .
Sad but that’s the facts of it .
The top premier league teams will sack it off in the next few years so it might make for a more even playing field. |

Had to laugh at the second clip from the Wednesday fan .
At the end of the clip he had decided there should be “ some sort” of VAR for our goal .
In the space of five seconds he had decided we had committed an infringement from his position in the stand .
Never ever have VAR in this division. We’ve lost a few decisions over the years which would more than likely been overturned. We’ve been on the right side of a few as well . Swings and roundabouts.
As for TV chefs . All I’ll say is Gary Rhodes is sadly missed. |

Going there with six mates on Thursday. Double booked unfortunately so will mean looking for a pub with our lot against Waaalll.
Beaches are great . Lots of Irish themed bars . Take a trip to the Olympic park . The swimming pool and athletics stadium which is being used by Barcalona at the moment is free to the public during week days . It’s a 15 to minute walk from city centre .
Markets and cathedral well worth a look .
And has been said watch your pockets and phones .
