After our Friday Luton win, I went to see the Gills play. Where I work in Gillingham we get free tickets... and a few of the lads are Gills fans
Decent game against Chesterfield sending of each and a bit of niggle in the game and a 1-0 Gills win... but just couldn't get into it.
Wasn't..... us and therefore all a bit mheh..... OK... Next |

First home game I missed in yonks..... and brother's grandson who was just building up his affinity with the club, or torture, depends how you look at it, will hardly go this season as he plays football in the morning.
Luckily one of his pals dad's takes him, but my nephew, his dad, is struggling with the choice, and I think the sons footie is going to win.
I guess it is the future, but Jack would be the 5th generation of R..... and he maybe lost.

In hindsight not sure about the Larkeche loan. At the time was he sent out with the view of getting someone else in? Because now it seems a strange decision.
Said on the Palace match thread that we are in danger of flogging Paal to death here, even to the fact of saying surely there is someone in the club who is left footed, can run and do a job for this one match to give him a rest.
He must definitely be literally the first name on the team sheet, by the fact there is no one else, especially as JCS is out injured now.
I think like above, a great pro, and never downed tools after Beale left like a lot of the others did. |

Well a really brave 2nd half and we have ot shamed ourselves tonight .... Palace did enough, but we have given them a bit of a fright that 2nd half
2 poor goals... defensive mistake and a lucky deflection....
Eze though a class above everyone.... and just class
Good all round performance by us and a lot of positives.... Varane, Ashby, Paal, Saito all had good games.
Smyth gave them A lot of problems. Field had a good game and can see him being CH Saturday
Subs all contributed especially Lloyd so a lot to be positive about

Well think we have been 2nd best.... but whether Palace are in third gear now they have the lead.... we have been pretty decent.
Apart from the goal... which was a bit of a mare, we have been in this game. The goal may have been down to Field being on the left of the CH pairing and not use to picking up players
Plenty of positives for me. Think Varane was our best player this half, Ashby looks decent and Paal doing well.
Saito I think once he settles in will be useful.
Still seems to me that Palace have another gear if they need it, but we are notbeing disgraced..... yet |
