It's not beyond the realms of possibility that some of the players might occassionally have a look on here. Could you not have worded it Love Him or Don't rate Him as what is it going to do to any players attitude and feelings towards the club and supportors to read that 40 % supposedly hate him.

Yep, especially as the same thread title was used for Dieng barely 2 weeks ago!

Man, do I want him to score Saturday. I get that he didn’t play well last night, it happens and when you’ve spent a good few bob on a ticket etc. I’m backing the bloke, not that it matters and I’m not telling anyone what to say. He’s better than last night.
No hate here, no way. Come on LD.
Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

To be fair, we thought we had signed Kieffer Moore only to lose out at the last moment. Dykes was plan b. But amongst the good signings there are certainly some shockers.

I'm sure reading 40% don't rate you will be more palatable for the Scotralian instead: but I get your drift.
Something has come badly unstuck with LD. He's definitely not pushed on and should be doing better given the signs that he's shown at times, that there is or was something there.
At this point it's about at least putting the effort in. Thomas isn't ever going to do it, but he works his socks off. And a kack of workrate wasn't something you could accuse Denzel of.
If LD isn't putting a shift in, then its not going to fall at his feet for him, so eff-him off from the team and club as soon as possible.
We've been woeful at bringing in decent strikers, and haven't done so since Austin in 2013. That needs addressing fast to avoid anymore wastrels.

I quite liked Sylla and think Kakay is ok.
For balance we have made a few decent signings as well of course Smithies Freeman Pawel Wells Eze Chair Manning Bright Dickie Dunne Field Willock

Very true. Think Armstrong, Barbet and Amos were decent signings as well. Possibly Seny too? Although not sure when he was bought. Ultimately you make some rubbish and some good signings and some that split opinion. I think we’ve made progress on this but still nowhere near the Brentford level.

I think we've got better with signing over the last 2/3 years. The first few years whilst we picked up some gems like Chair, Eze, Dieng etc we signed a lot of expensive shit as well

Cntish poll this.
We are becoming a forum of spoilt brats. Maybe I'm misremembering but we didn't even act this way in League One 20 years ago.
Imagine being a professional player and seeing this shit from your own "fans".
Shame on you too Norf for letting this bollocks go.
That may be true, but 20 years ago we didn’t have much by way of Internet access (dial up was slow & s-h-it). Although some would have used fanzines instead although that relied on posting letters and many couldn’t be bothered.
I won’t vote on this as it is worded wrong. In his first season I was often defensive of him as the system was failing him (he never looked suited to the one up top formation), but was tiring doing this after Austin joined and he still was missing chances - remember his misses at Preston?
Then something clicked and he couldn’t stop scoring.
Last season Warburton reverted back to one striker and used Willock & Chair to support him and his scoring dropped a bit before stopping dead (apart from 2 against a poor Reading side).
I think overall he is a poor finisher and I cannot excuse him any longer, but do not hate him or any other player (certainly not at QPR now - Bosingwa, SWP & Hateley - appropriate name - come close).
Am I getting fed up seeing him start as a lone striker, yes. I would prefer to see him benched if we are going to play a 4-3-3.
Do I think he is a good player, the answer is no.
Yes, I also preferred Sylla and thought he was harshly treated and rarely got any good service from a poor Holloway team.

I think the difference between the two is that before Leicester, Vardy was pretty prolific with something like 50 goals in 70ish games. Which would suggest that he had a good eye for goal and would probably come good once up to speed with the step up. Dykes on the other hand wasn't. With something like 35ish in 170 games. Its not that he doesnt score that bothers me so much. Its that all he seems to have in his locker is that he'll run and run. His positional sense is woeful and the game just seems to be being played around him. Which leaves him looking like he's reacting to situations rather than anticipating them. Ill gladly be proven wrong but i just don't see him cutting the mustard at this level
I wrote this a couple of years ago when someone compared his first season with Vardys first, poor season for Leicester. And that we shouldn't judge a book by it cover. I stand by what I said then.
