I do not like Cooper,as a manager. I do not think he has brought the best out of players and I do not think him an inspirational man nor one who can change tactics in a game.
The esteemed Dr might disgree but he's just another punter,like you and me. He like me and you you will wrong or right.
It is not my job to source a new manager.If it were we'd have a new one in situ NOW,trust me.
Our target should be return to Prem.If not,we might as well pack up and go home. We failed twice in playoffs to the same team. That is failure .

It seems to me that as a novice manager only used to dealing with youngsters Cooper has done a pretty decent job. First priority will always for all managers is the create a solid defensive unit. He has done this.
I am a iittle concerned at his oft repeated "we do what we do and it will not change". This assosciated with "we did not play the game we want to play but give creidt to the opposition. It was a battle". It seemed to me Swansea hardly ever play the game they want to play and that is the point. Swansea should play the game they want to play almost every week.
This was achieved by Potter and Brendan. Sadly when Swansea came up against a footballing side they came second best usually. The away performance at Brentford and home v Norwich were exceptions.
Cooper is developing coach and he must find a way to go the extra step and play football fans cannot call "turgid". If I was him "we do what we do and it will not change" is not what I would be saying. He must change and he must improve his teams, not only in players but also style. If this means coaching changes he must do it. Alex Ferguson changed his coaching team every two seasons.

All teams need a solid defence but it seems Cooper took us into a tournament mentality of starting off by trying not to lose games and trying to sneak a win. However we didn’t have the firepower up front to get away with that in the end.
I don’t think anyone could disagree that there was not enough flair or invention in the midfield you named. Hourihane was supposed to provide that but was an expensive luxury. A lack of goal scoring options even before the injuries to Cullen and Morris didn’t help either. | | | |

He was outspending some of the biggest clubs in Sweden when they were in the third tier. They were even taking private planes to every domestic away match whilst in the third tier.
They grossly outspent all competition due to the illegal financial activities taking place behind the scenes. |  |
