I dont think he will make that many changes.
Think he will use this an the opportunity for several palyers who are coming back from injury to get more minutes. But expect Varane and Field to start too. And i dont see Santos at LB.

Ok lets clear this up.
The new rule is that if the ball touches the attckers arm in thr build.up to a goal, intentional or not, then it should NOT be a goal.
Therefore, we got lucky. |

There has been a slight change in tactics. A little mpre pragmatic and a little less total football.
Plus a few of the new players settled into the Championship. Varane being the most obvious, but Morgan, Morriosn and Saito deserve honourable mentions.
And finally a little.bit of luck. Several trams have missed chances against us whilst they were scoring worldies for fun against us in October. |

Ashby's best game for us, IMO. I. The fordy half his passi g was off, but he defended well mostly. The second half was a great improvement and signs of the player i had hoped for. |

Also noticed as the goal went in, Field fetches the ball from the net and boots it into SB Stand. It's not the first time he has doen that. |

There has been significantly more end product recently and hrs making more of a difference as a result. He's stopped just falling over and looking for the foul and putting crosses in. |

Maybe counter to most on here, but I am less worried about the churn.
The team Marti inherited was, let's me honest, crap. Losing most of that team will not lose me any sleep and i dohbt the team will lose much in Quality.. We needed to completely revamp the squad.
I think the majority of the hard work was done this summer, and hopefully we are now beginning to see the benefits of that. By next year Varane, Nardi, Madsen, Morrison and Saito will have probably palyed 30 plus games in the championship. Field, Cook Dunne and Chair (if they stay) are well beyond that. The only inexperienced area will, therefore, be up front.
If you loom at that list, half of the players are not first XIers. Most are back up/bench players. |
