The death of the "Screamer"
at 18:46 16 Sep 2024

The ball is so light now it swerves both ways, its like a bloody beach ball.

PS, I reckon Lorimer couldn't get one on target with these balls.

That last bit, what I read was that they threw cases out because of either a lack of evidence or no new evidence was presented and they refused to re-hash cases.

Just recently Zucker berg has said he couldn't vote Democrat.

Trump assassination attempt again

Given his previous words, maybe he'll be responsible for the collapse of NATO?

Withdrawal of support for Ukraine possibly alowing Putin to take it all, well as much as he wants.

Yet another increase in polarisation of US politics causing even more violence on the streets though obviously harris will also be culpable there.

Those studies, all the people that got cancer, can I assume they'd had covid AND the vaccine (at least one) before the stud happened?

If so then I'd like to see the studies and see why they areso sure it was covid and not the vaccines that caused a problem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an anti vaxxer but I am asking the question in the knowledge that medicines can sometimes do harm. That I am certain of because it happened to myself, a blood pressure medication damaged my liver, it was spotted just in time, another few months and it would have been too late. So while I am not saying vaccines are bad per se, I am saying there is a chance they could cause probems when they are rushed out quickly without the years of testing they normally go through.

Did the vaccines save lives, yes definitely, could they have caused issues, yes they could have.

I'm also not saying it's just vaccines, modern life in general is very unhrealthy and it could be a combination of circumstances. Look at all the chemicals in foodstuffs. What happens when all these chemicals are swirling around in our bodies alongside the medicines?
It is also a medical fact that a combination of medicines that are safe by themselves can react with other medcines and be harmful.
We can hardly say almost 15 illion doses were given without incident and just because the authorities won't accept any issues, it doesn't mean that they OR the big pharma companies are telling the truth. We have evidence for them lying in many other cases.

Swansea City v Norwich City : Match day thread : GAMEDAY
at 16:29 15 Sep 2024

Well he's 5'10, his height isn't the problem, his heading ability is the problem.

He's a poacher and nothing else, play him off a proper striker and he'll get goals but playing 2 strikers seems to be illegal these days. They'll play 3 "forwards" whch is one striker and wide players.

I'd like to see us try 4-1-3-2.

Well it dpends on the strength of the pass, the angle, was the player expecting the ball etc but I'd generally agree.

We spent so long just eeping possession it should only be a case of tweaking, looking for a more attacking pathway, a less boring, defensive style.

I think we still need 2/3 players though.

Coventry - a minutes applause
at 16:17 15 Sep 2024

Hi everyone, if you're making the trip to Coventry next Saturday then in the 17th minute please join in with the home fans for a minutes applause.

A young fan who "lived for CCFC" (that being Coventry obviously) has passed away and they had his funeral last Thursday.

His name was Tyler Hollyoake and he was only 17, some family members will be there apparently and they would really appreciate it if we'd make the effort.

So remember, 17th minute, a minutes applause for Tyler.

Thanks in advance evryone.

I agree with the second part 100% but I haven't noticed many screamers when I'm watching highlights.

Screamers are great whn they fly in but when a long range effort doesn't hit the net it gives possession away, mostly and then your second point comes into play.

We often created more chances for the oppo than we did for ourselves, and indeed more than they created for themselves too.

It was lunatic.

It's the whole thing, the attack is too slow and predictable, the defence phaff about with the ball too much inviting the press, mistakes happen and goals are conceded.

We saw plenty of that evidence here. And just like here he doubled down saying he'd rather lose his way than win playing another way. Well if he doesn't get an improvement soon he's out of a job.

He'll get a nice pay off though and some other team will give hima job, they always do no matter the record.

First, yes I agree with the OP 100%

Now WR, I agree with you too. I am one of the stay aways and getting me back to being an ST holder really WILL be hard work. I don't even watch the whole game on tv now, I may prefer walking the dgs for example. Those of us who found better things to do will not easily be swayed.

Saying that, we still go to games, the first 2 homes and Coventry will be our second away day this season. I've become far more selective and I have a friend who has been the most staunch fan I know who recently has been questioning not just the Swans but what is happening to football as a whole, in his words, what is happening to the game I love?

Good post, I agree.

Sticking rigidly to one style of football is predictable. Sometimes you have to change it up, use the bench to change the approach. It's frustrating when changes need to be made because the plan isn't worling but the subs are just like for like.

Should we continue to cover the national team ?
at 19:09 14 Sep 2024

I'd dispute that. Going back over the years plenty from this part of the world wanted to follow Wales but the nonsense with Cardiff put them off.

There's quite a few who do go these days. Following Wales is a much better experience than it used to be, so I've been told by those who go.
