It's 57 years on Friday this week that i went to my first game.
at 22:35 11 Feb 2025

You know, watching our team has its ups and downs (manure at christmas versus Vauxhaul motors) for instance.

We have seen the great players, the not so great players, and the Ned Zelic.

We have seen Stan and Gerry show every other team how to do it, whilst a year or so later we are relegated.

The fans come, the fans go, we all see gaps where there are empty seats and wonder if the guy next to you is ill, or plain sick of the football.

I spent 23 years at the very back behind the back row in SAR in line with the centre spot, mostly every saturday. Dad sneaked me in with some compliant stewards, and there i stood, rain, snow, shine and David Webb doing his thing, having never got caught by the stewards.

I've walked in on Stan running out of the bookies as my dad and grandad tried to get a bet or 3 on.
I've sat 7 seats away from Blondie, spoken to Pete Doherty as i bought an 'all quiet on the western avenue'.

I've stood on the terrace at the old wembley with 3 large holes in my right foot from standing on 3 spikes from a hidden railing that went into the bone but bled all over the terrace during 'The Oxford incident'

I was at Highbury for the knee of god, That Leeds game, most of the European matches in the 70's when HQ rocked.

I used to watch aircraft coming into land at Heathrow when we were losing or just playing crap and as a 4 year old i was bored (heresy).

Memories aplenty. However, the 1 thing that binds us together is our old home, it hasn't really changed that much to me.

I've not been there for more years than i can remember due to moving, money, distance etc.

But i can tell you this, players come, players go, but Loftus Road to me, is my real F'ing home!

With this in mind i'm going to try and get back a few times between now and the lifting of the Championship Trophy by Jimmy Dunne.

Urrrrrssss

You know what mate?

I wasnt joking, Chair isnt as good as last season and i believe he just isnt 1st team material.

Normally i'd just not reply to your post but i must have vexed thee in a previous life as thats 3 or 4 times you have not been complimentary or even ambivalent to one of my posts.

Please check back if you want, i've never tried to belittle you, ever! and probably like you ive been here years, and i havnt had this before.

if you think i'm wrong, we are all mates here, just say so, dont try and belittle me in front of all my mates here (yes i think of you all as my mates) And no, i'm not demanding an apology or such nonesense, just common courtesy from yourself and all my fellow members like you should be giving to others.

to be fair mate, he is currently (and has been all season) not the Chair of old.

I know it takes time to come back from injury, but its not necessarily his speed that bothers me its his seemingly loss of control of the ball in the last quarter.

We all remember him as a great player that could bend a ball in perfectly, this season (since he has come back) how many goals has he scored? ok, i'll narrow that down slightly, How many goals have come from Chair putting the ball in the right place at the right time.

Sadly i think he's struggling with form still, after the injury, and his road back isnt a smooth one.

Ever sea a blind alley with no product. Lady and gentleworm i give you Illias Chair.

Not sure why we are keeping him in the first team, at the moment he makes us a player short.

The team lost, so we deserved and got nothing.

The godivas were there for the taking first half but fat frank pulled our pants down the second half.

The Urine Kit
at 22:39 1 Feb 2025

we lost the players in the fog recently, in that kit, and as i said at the time, that insipid watered down carrotless sick of a shirt does nothing for us.

We should be in touch with the opposition team the week before a match, ask them if they are wearing their home kit, get it in writing then turn up in a kit that stands out, whether its the Blue and white or Dennis.

To bring that abomination on the pitch makes us look like 'sops' rather than warriors.

Dunne off?
at 22:35 1 Feb 2025

To be fair, Nardi worries me with his distribution at the back and his lack of positional sight of all the players.

twice or more this last week has seen Nardi distribute awfully almost causing runs on our goal that could have been catastrophic.

A better keeper or a keeper coach might not be a bad idea in itself.

3rd runway at heathrow
at 15:58 29 Jan 2025

where the hell are they going to find 3908 metres length and 50 metres wide, plus the open end extensions to either end, plus the taxi ways between the extsting runway and the new one?

Plus they are going to demolish 750 houses to do this.

I cannot see it viable unless they drain the reservoirs, re direct the M25, and build over it!

Adel Taarabt coming back?
at 09:49 26 Jan 2025

I could still see Adel doing a job at LR,

Either as a technical coach, or...... how about this, as a midfielder with a brief to keep position and sprey balls about the pitch to the players for very quick breaks etc? use him for a year, then help him teach those tricks and dinks etc.

Just a thought.
