With no Will at the helm I can't help but feel they make it up as they go along but Glenn is as much a fan as anyone and so his comments are valid whether he is the Chairman of not!
Anyone else get the feeling that this two were down a long list of candidates and KO has crossed off so many names that he's having to choose the unwanted option?!
Wizz - I think the answer to your point is they are NOT interested in selling the football club - the playing side of things and having someone owning a team playing in their stadium and I reckon they'd be gone before you could say 'where's the Prem money!'
1 The day Martin Aldridge died. Even though he wasn't with us at the time I remember crying buckets over the tributes to him 2, the day we got beat in the last minute at Okdham sending us down on the day PNE went up
I get worried when I hear terms like 'major players'. I think everyone is so determined to get rid of the Oyston's (a sentiment I share incidentally) that few have thought about a club run post-Oyston. Who's to say the fans would want some of these 'major players' involved or is it just a case of anyone but the Oyston's.
I want the future of Blackpool to be secure, have strong leadership and ambition and not a string of attention seeking money men who are no different or better than the current owners.
I don't know if I watched that press conference today with rage or disbelief! The spokesperson was everything that is wrong with the world. He's the sort of person who would have been Hitler's spokesperson and would've said shelling Hitler's bunker was a good idea, a great day for the Nazi's and it shows they are heading in the right direction.
Well time someone bombed Blatter's bunker and smoked the little weasel out. A fish rots from the head down and Blatter has stunk football out for way too long. I hope his prison cell doesn't get Sky Sports!!
My Liverpool mates have never warmed to him and whenever he was 'on the brink' they were always disappointed when he pulled something out of the bag and had a bit of success. Get the feeling he wouldn't be mourned if he went but Liverpool are now no longer a club who would attract the very best in the world.
ST and the TK's are working very hard to change the status quo, so either get on board or out of the way. Phil - going off people I speak to there is a genuine unease at some of what is going on with these fan groups with the main one being organised disruption to events like the Neil Diamond concert and any further action on the pitch. The fastest way these groups will lose support is by disrupting the rights of people to watch what they want without interruption.
Everyone must have thought of this over the years since our relegation from the Prem if there was anything we could have done differently? What's everyone's thoughts on it on the day we went down four years ago
I will say now that I think whoever takes over the reins at Bloomfield Road that it will be this sort of curve ball appointment. I think had it been an obvious choice it would have been made by now.
I really don't think they've had a better chance and can actually see them strolling it - maybe 3-0 or more? I don't rate Swindon at all and would have preferred Sheffield United to have given them a game. I hear less than 50,000 tickets have been sold and wonder if even the Nobbers are getting Play Off weary.
I always thought Tiago Gomes was decent enough to be given another season - my abiding memory of Gerardo Bruna is Ollie saying he 'trains like a pig!!'
Herts - few will disagree and that is why this year the manager who does take this job really does have a thankless task. His signing will be crap, his player signing will be on the cheap and if a player is linked and doesn't come it's because he's in Karl's pocket!!
