I could definitely have seen this happening if David Brent was still at the club.
Now, I’d be less sure of it.
I do worry about Parsons’ judgement sometimes. Well, quite a lot actually. He strikes me as somebody who gets a bit starstruck. |

But could you not say similar about Bobby Stokes?
I don’t deny the hugeness of his goal at all, but Armstrong’s goal was a huge moment for the club.

Che Adams did an awful lot of heavy lifting for Danny Ings.
Arguably, neither has been anywhere near as effective without the other. |

I don't think anybody sees Sulemana or Onuachu as saviours.
I am a great admirer of Adam Armstrong, however it seems clear to me that he is a top Championship striker, but unfortunately just not cut out for the top flight.
It's not just stats from this season that would showcase this. |

In about 20 years time, when we are all getting misty-eyed about the current era, I dare say a fair few fans will be including Adam Armstrong in their list.
Bit ironic given the recent discussions on him on here over the last couple of days. |

He should have plenty of opportunity to get his confidence back if Onuachu was one of the top strikers in that League.

I would be inclined to ask why we didn't invoke a loan recall on Juan, if:-
- Turkey wasn't a schmuck league, and;
- Ankersen would have kicked up a stink about it harming Goztepe's chances of getting into Europe |

I am a bit surprised by your stance on this one, Nick.
A week or so ago, you said that it made good sense to loan Sulemana out for the rest of the season and trim the wage bill. Even if it was to Goztepe, which I found staggering logic.
As some may recall, I have been far from Sulemana's biggest fan.
However he has (almost miraculously) come good in the last few weeks, and now looks a threat. Possibly our main threat.
Whereas Armstrong (who was excellent last season) just doesn't look up to this level.
So I actually see some sense in this loan move. He gets to play and hopefully score goals for West Brom and get some of his mojo back for us for next season.
How does it make sense to loan Sulemana out but not Armstrong?? |

For some reason, I just looked this up.
Goztepe means "Eye Hill" in English apparently.
It was coined to honour some Turkish dude who was the watchman of a lodge on a hill in the particular neighbourhood.

I thought he was excellent last season.
If we can keep him and Archer next season, we should be strong contenders. |
