Fox knew Sweet Fanne Adams about his goal but he won't care one jot. |

You can find this all out online. They know this so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to call back. |

What you fail to mention is whilst Matthew made 242 appearances for QPR, this was over a 10 year period, and many were sub appearances. This averages at 24.2 games a season so in essence Matthew was injured for half a season every season for 10 years. Indeed, he only managed to make over 30 appearances in just one of those 10 seasons. He was even injured for the play-off final. So, yes, he was definitely injury prone. However, he did score a last minute cracker at the Withdean which I'll never forget. The temporary away stand felt like it was going to collapse. |

It makes sense when you think about it. For years, double 16 has been the checkout of choice as double 8 is just next door and therefore requires a minor adjustment. However, when you think it through double 20 is a frequent checkout. Miss that and you're likely to be on double 10, so logic dictates that it's a good one to master. And master it, Littler certainly has. I lost count of the number of legs he won on double 10 and tops. [Post edited 4 Jan 21:02]

The coldest I've been is at Boundary Park, Oldham. It's the second highest ground in the country, a fact I discovered the hard way. I went there twice, first for the play-off semi-final first leg in 2003, and a second time for the away league fixture in March 2004. Having frozen through in 2003, I went prepared in 2004 wearing multiple layers. It made little to no difference. By the second half, I was block of ice. The wettest I've been is at the County Ground, Swindon in 2003. The away end had no roof so there was no escaping the weather. Despite going ahead, QPR eventually lost 3-1. It was 1-1 midway through the second half when I decided to warm myself up by buying a burger and coffee from the kiosk at the side of the away end. As I settled back into my seat, self-confessed QPR fan Sam Parkin made it 2-1 to Swindon. In my frustration, I inadvertently kicked my cup of coffee over. 4 minutes later it was 3-1 and game over. To add to my despair I looked down to see that the patty had slipped out of my burger! If memory serves me well I believe that this was the game that convinced Ian Holloway to later bring Eric Sabin to Loftus Road, despite Parkin being far more prolific and a QPR fan to boot. Looking back it appears that 2003 and 2004 wasn't a good year for me weather wise but, boy, the football more then made up for it. [Post edited 4 Jan 20:33]

From memory I think Luton were the other club with an artificial pitch so it came as no surprise that they were comfortable playing on ours. [Post edited 4 Jan 3:24]

Both Manchester clubs need to rebuild their teams (more so United) so it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Casemiro and Eriksen look past their sell-by dates so United will need some midfielders. |

A little more composure is required in such situations as there were 2 waiting in the 6-yard-area for a tap-in. You can see why he's never scored in his career. That being said, it's his first season in the Championship and he is improving. If he continues trending in the right direction then we may have a good player on our hands. |

Elbow, I think you need to start another poll to decide which Varane thread to keep as there's currently 4! |

A combination of factors including but not limited to: - The manager reverting to a more pragmatic, physical approach - Some new signings acclimatising to the Championship (Varane deserves his own thread) - The emergence of young talent in Morgan, Kolli and Morrison - Core players like Cook and Dunne leading by example - Gradual improvement of players like Smyth (kudos to the coaching staff) - Improved match fitness (in terms of yards covered not injuries) - Getting more players into the box when we attack - Camaraderie and team spirit - Confidence that comes from winning football matches - A little bit of lady luck (which never hurts) [Post edited 3 Jan 4:26]
