Mel Nurse statue ? on 20:27 - Aug 8 by Whiterockin
In my opinion statues are for players only, I would far prefer one for Mr Alan Curtis, long overdue.
Mel did play more than 250 times for us too.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Agreed, statue for Curt and have him to unveil it and there will be thousands there.
As has been said elsewhere, jumped on the gravy train after all the hard work for two years had been done. Bought the club shop and car park for profit. If you are into changing history yes, build him one as big as the highest point of the Brecon Beacons. If it’s just about his playing career there are loads of players ahead of him that most have forgotten.
I know he did his bit but so did Richard Lillycrap who most have forgotten.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
There’s no doubt that Nurse has helped the Club in the past as many others have. He was also a good centre back when we were a decent Division Two side.
But as for a statue? Definitely not. On the other hand one man is certainly deserving of a statue and that’s Alan Curtis. Let’s get it done sooner rather than later.
