Played For Both Saints & Preston 10:52 - Mar 5 with 1508 viewsSaintNick

Ill start the ball rolling with a hard one, I suspect a few of you might not remember Francis Burns, played 120 or so games for Manchester United before joining Saints in the summer of 1972 aged 24.

He would play just 21 League games for the club plus 3 in the League cup alternating with Joe Kirkup for the left back spot, with the debut of Steve Mills at the end of that season meaning his opportunities would be even less, he left the club after just one season and joined his old United team mate Bobby Charlton as his first signing as Preston manager.

He would play over 300 games for the club before leaving at the age of 33 for Shamrock Rovers in Ireland, ;ater emigrating to Australia

Tom Finney (before anyone else gets there first).

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

So should we have a stand named after him as well as his face made of seats in the Chapel End??
