If you could choose 1 player from our illustrious past to fit into this side, who'd it be ? A no nonsense defender, a midfield general or a free scoring attacker. Thinking specifically for this side and formation, I considered Fabs for Fisher, Gylfi or Ferrie for Grimes, Ante or Ash to shore up the backline, but would have to plump for Robbie and his lung bursting midfield performances.

Gylfi for Pato. Just think of the set pieces we’d no longer waste!

Otherwise I’d have loved to see Ben Davies covering LCB and LWB in this team, his performances for Wales are always top tier.

Fabian ski, Rimmer, Dwyer, Stewart all proper keepers .

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Set piece has definitely been an issue since Gylfi left.

Heart says Ivor because i never saw him play.

Head says Ashley Williams for his leadership.

3 of my all time favourites there. I can’t comment on Dwyer as I’m only a spritely 60 years of age😉

It would have to be a classy defender, Ante Rajkovic i honestly believe one of the best players i have seen playing for the Swans.

No one can argue with that.

Couldn't imagine Reading getting 4 goals with Ante in the side 🤣

Agreed, who would you play in the back 3 with him though, I'd go Ben and Latibeaudiere personally. I think Naughton has had a fantastic season but I'd really fancy those 2 lads to develop alongside a prime Ash.

Nathan Dyer when he was in his absolute prime. He was unplayable at times, ask Ashley Cole.
We were spoilt back then.

Nathan was my favourite player for 2 or 3 years. Fantastic in his prime.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Just one? Ante then but if I could be greedy and have three it'd be Ante, Ash and Colin Irwin.

It's always hard just picking one.

Oh Ok, final decision, Ferrie Bodde

Fabianski.
With him in goal, we'd have made the playoffs at least this season

Doesn't help that the vast majority of ours are taken by someone with absolutely no talent for doing so.

Grimes has his uses, but he should be nowhere near free kicks or corners by this point.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Agreed. It's a worry that he's seen as the best in the squad by successive managers, the rest must be shocking.

On his day when fit Jeff Montero with his pace, skill and crosses would be outstanding in this team, feeding JP and MO.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!
