This is an interesting tweet:

Edit: Peck isn't a teammate, just a supporter. Random club for him to mention though unless he knew something?

I've got a recollection of Michael Oliver going in goal once but I might be wrong.

He did in a game at Southend in March 2001 after Neil Edwards had been sent-off.

Was that the same game he went in net?

5-4 v York

I need to check the collection for the away game when he went in goal; I'm sure it will be on one of the club DVDs.

I have recollections of him going into lots of pubs.

And bookies.

That was a 5-4 home win against Cambridge i think

As Quigley says, we came from 3-1 down to defeat Cambridge in September 2002. We were actually losing 2-3 going into injury time.

We have only four 5-4 wins in our history:

v Wrexham (h) in 1929/30
v Nelson (h) in 1930/31
v Darlington (h) in 1957/58
v York (h) in 2001/02

We have lost 4-5 on three occasions:

v Doncaster (h) in 1937/38
v Halifax (h) in 1938/39
v Accrington (a) in 1954/55

1-1 at York wasn’t it? He went up the other end from us to take a penalty whilst the ‘goalkeeper’.

“He was deliberately misleading the EFL”

Oh. I get mixed up sometimes over the results of when I was a true fan.

Used to love watching Townson & McEvilly.
Glad I remembered the shoulder charge thought it might of been one of those urban myths.
And Jobson scoring two !
Thanks TVOS

I remember the shoulder charge on the right in front of the Sandy.
Dropped the guy and then buried it...

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

Although this thread has changed from its original post, noted on Stourbridge FC website that Montel Gibson's registration along with another player had been terminated for refusing to play in a cup match and instead going for a trial at an unnamed club without permission.
