Not many people have to stop during their break and run to their vehicles to save a life. Vital seconds.
Many workers don't get breaks at all.Technically he was right, that ambulance was on standbye it wasn't on call, but in the spirit of things, he should have ignored it
Average width of UK ambulance is. 7' 7" or 91 inches.
Average length of UK ambulance is 19' 8" or 236 inches.

The other ambulance was parked up not causing any problems just do what the fire brigade do in our local supermarket drop one person off to do their shop the driver goes to back of carpark then he drives up picking up the person with the shopping
The standard parking bay measurement in the UK is 2.4m wide x 4.8m long, so would have been almost impossible to park up. The other ambulance was parked in a disabled bay which is wider to allow easy access for disabled passengers and drivers. Technically shouldn't have been there either. should the other ambulance be parked on double yellows technically not. However, lets have a bit of common sense here, neither vehicle was stopping the flow of traffic or stopping a blue badge holder from parking.Little bit of jobs worth going on here, the warden should have used his loaf, he was on a hiding to nothing.

They are not entitled either which makes the point even more valid regards proximity of parking. They can only take a break where and when there is an opportunity.
The traffic warden has a point because the ambulance is on double yellows, ateotd hes just doing what hes been trained to do.
Most paramedics or technicians who crew these vehicles are double busy therefore cannot park in a far away normal spot as they wont have chance to get the food they need.
The problem is that warden has no common sense but i suspect the shyster company he works for trained him this way.
I suspect the ticket would be waived.
Playing devils advocate, why couldnt the paramedics bring their dinner in with them when they came into work?
The general publics total lack of tolerance to emergency services etc ... who dare to have a break doing a job 95% of the public wouldn't, couldn't, or are incapable of doing is astonishing.
The parking enforcement guy is an idiot, he could easily have used some discretion.
Have seen ambulance crews waiting in a queue to buy food only to be called away before they get served, same with the police. They may take food in to work with them, but once they start their shift they could end up anywhere and they may not get back until the end of their shift.
With all the stuff that’s going on at the moment, you’d think people would cut the paramedics some slack.
I am surprised someone didn’t knock the parking warden out.
