That’s 25.1 million people. Over half of all the seats in Parliament already decided weeks before the ballot boxes open. 225 constituencies not changed hands in sixty nine years. Over 100 not changed over the last century.

How long are we going to continue with this charade of “every vote matters”?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Yup election nothing to do with Brexit.

Ok, so Tories, Brexit party championing leaving, Lib Dems revoking and Labour stalling for time... but nothing to do with Brexit, honest.

Sorry if I misread the message. Bluey mentioned EU tactics and it came across as if the EU were somehow influencing (directly) the outcome

In Bluey’s world the EU is interfering in the Election, there was absolutely no Russian interference in the Brexit referendum and the UK is going to do super duper trade deals with the rest of the world.

We'll I'm a paid up member of a political party, not Labour, but here in the Vale of Glamorgan it'll be tactical voting to get the tory c unt out

There’s no chance of Corbyn winning a majority. The best hope is enough tactical voting to deny Johnson one.

So the best possible outcome is the status quo. That raises the question of why the hell the opposition parties have agreed to this election. Boris must be laughing his moobs off.

Anyway the tories have a majority of almost 30000 in my constituency so I very much doubt I'll be motivated to drag myself down to the polling station in the dark and driving rain. A stupid election at a stupid time of year due to a stupid opposition.

” So the best possible outcome is the status quo...”

Widespread, deeply felt and experienced dissatisfaction with ‘the status quo’ underpinned the Brexit vote. This GE will achieve precisely nothing save a deepening of a sense of embittered alienation.

No idea how they work it out to be honest. I live in Penllergaer, which is in the Gower constituency. Go figure, as the kids say.

To do with the old Lordship of Gower apparently and not that b@stard Byron. If the voting system doesn’t make sense in the 21st century, why should the constituency boundaries.

I hope as a Lib Dem you’ll be thinking tactically to keep the “put’em down” Tory out...

There’s nothing better!

Right then, having met you and observed first hand that you’re a clean-cut sort of a chap that automatically rules out the SWP, but as I know you’ve been a Socialist throughput adulthood I’ll go with The Socialist Party itself.

IPA, by the way...

You'll be voting tactically for Labour (which is what you have traditionally done) even though you're now a member of Plaid.
