Are we for sale at £14m? 08:07 - Aug 15 with 8430 views | Dalenet | https://www.business-live.co.uk/economic-development/toy-industry-veteran-who-be This article is a good read on the vision set out by David Bottomley. Can't work out whether we are trying to get somebody to buy the club for £14m or whether they are seeking further investment of £8m to build the wider facilities that we need. The numbers are clearly specific so there must be plans costed to build out the facilities. Was anything shared at the AGM?

Wayah man. The picture is courtesy of the Newcastle Chronicle - bit of a give away to the lazy journalist. But interesting that David confirms what we thought - that our ticket revenues barely cover 25% of the cost of running the club and that our revenue will become less important in the future. It goes to show that a fall to Div 2 could cripple the club as the league monies would fall significantly but the costs wouldn't. [Post edited 15 Aug 2019 8:27]

Are we for sale at £14m? on 08:33 - Aug 15 with 5741 views | Ancoats_Blue | Having read that it's a positive article. Nice to read the board still have some ambition to try and reach the Championship one day. I'd love that experience even if it did mean very probable immediate relegation back down here.
Are we for sale at £14m? on 09:27 - Aug 15 with 5531 views | 1907 | I think he was touting for someone to go into collaboration with us as opposed to buying us. Could be somewhat positive the reference to NDA’s being signed.
Are we for sale at £14m? on 09:41 - Aug 15 with 5474 views | judd | Some of the Dale costs aside, I haven't laughed so much in ages. He's got some necks, I'll give him that. I could drive skip wagons through most of that. From Oldham.

According to the article he founded the ‘Ambassadors’ which I believe to be a group who try to encourage business to take up unit space in new development, amongst other things.

He didn't last very long as chair of Rochdale Ambassadors and now it has a clear direction and takes actions under the leadership of the magnificent Paul Dixon.

What sort of self respecting diehard fans and CEO would allow an article promoting himself to label Sunderland fans as Rochdale fans? Probably because that image didn't contain a photo of him.

Not enough votes in it? I'm sure the money has been earmarked for more 'worthwhile' causes!
Are we for sale at £14m? on 11:20 - Aug 15 with 5060 views | Cleedale | Really good article that very much highlights the challenges at Dale. At least we are getting info. these days as in the past some folk were moaning about the lack of it. Didn't think we needed £350K per month just to keep above water and even with good ground drainage! Jeeps. Hope it comes to fruition. UTD.

That's a really positive article and one we shouldn't discourage the "decision makers" at the club from doing. A community hub / training ground would be great, but do we have the income to maintain it? I doubt we do, but given our gates that is understandable.
Are we for sale at £14m? on 12:47 - Aug 15 with 4756 views | electricblue | A touch over £4m per annum... Breaking down to a weekly figure of £87k is still quite an amount if you think about it.. Dale have been lucky with how the club as been run from kilpatrick onwards.... It does not take much thinking about how fine the line is to becoming debt ridden.... Just goes to show how the running costs of a lower league team as risen in the last 10yrs.... [Post edited 15 Aug 2019 12:51]
