Made the original Handbags and Glad rags. Written for him by Mike d'Abo who later fronted Manfred Mann. Saw him with Van Morrisson, bent up almost double, don't know whats wrong with him. Van Morrisson usually gives a spot to someone down on their luck.

Saw him in The Grand a while back, he was opening for Van Morrison. A crackin' set to be fair.

Didn't they feature him on an episode of the Antiques Roadshow about ten years back?

Went to see a 60's touring show at The Philharmonic solely because Liberty DeVitto was drumming for Billy J Kramer but was happy that Chris Farlowe was on the bill as I love Out of Time.
This scruffy fat guy comes on in an old Adidas track suit and wearing what looked like slippers. Not sure what was worse, the singing or the attire.

The rank had several big at the time bands

I saw Amen Corner when they were starting out and when they d made it big .

Blue Weaver (worra name) went on to play keyboards with big acts inc Mott the Hoople and BEES gees ,if my memory serves me right.

We could have been chums

Not heard that but I know that he had hopes of being a boxer when he was young. Had a very serious car accident in the early 70's.
