If I remember rightly Gwfx penned a 1yr deal last summer with the possibility to re new...
Has to be the reason for not actually revealing images of kit as I was informed the original release date was originally the end of May!!?

This years sponsor has not been confirmed. The justification for not announcing who it is was said to be so that the announcement could be timed in accordance with the commercially advantageous wishes of the sponsor.
This sounds like a remarkably similar situation to the shambles of last year when the club were left scrabbling around trying to find a sponsor at the last minute due to their inability to secure any deal. The delay in meeting the pre-sake deadlines which was blamed on Adidas ŵas related to the failure to secure any deal within the anticipated timescales.

Actually i think im wrong there. Didnt we buy out 32 Red to the sum of 500k to secure a major market player that turned out to be a company nobody had heard about?
Last years deal was worth £1,5m
This years deal is worth £1,8m
Depending on what spin you want to put on things , it could be said (if the figures are correct) that the deal is lower this year which means we are in the bottom 2/3 in terms of clubs having a shirt sponser reduced in cost .
It could also be said that after removing the money spent on buying out 32Red we have made 300k extra for this season.
What happened to the story that a major sponser was going to help with stadium expansion etc,etc . that went very quiet and then we ended up with GWFX .

That isn't true, the club had a sponsor in place well in advance of kits being on sale and the fault was with Adidas.
I don't know why people listen to the club if they don't believe a word they say. | |

Just so we can sort out the difference between rumour and fact how much did we spend buying out our remaining year with 32 red. I only ask cos that was reported as £1m. So we spent £1m on buying out 1 contract so we could sign another one at the same amount? | | | |
