Yet again we played at a snails pace. Absolutely no urgency at all. Constant wayward passing. Often to the opposition. When we did get near goal and had a shot most every time it was far too high or far too wide .

BOS seemed to switch off when he lost the ball. And one time in the first half 6 yards from goal he lost the ball, gave up but the defender screwed up and the ball bumbled around. Had BOS not “given up the ghost” he could easily have recovered the ball and slipped it into the net.

On the odd occasion some of our players actually ran, and forwards towards goal, their defence was frightened and couldn’t deal with us. But immediately after our ensuing wayward shot on goal we the. Went back to Walking Football.

It did appear to me that most of the team were just going through the motions and couldn’t be arsed.

And that substitution chaos. What a joke

LFW tweets during the game summed it up.

This team, this year plays as though it’s a low League 1 outfit. I fear that’s where we will be in the near future

This game showed that Gallagher and Stephens have no future with Saints. Still good win but money needs to be spent in the summer.

Very lucky win so let's not get too cocky or complacent. Gallagher does not fit here at all so time to move him on now. Not one of WP's better matches and Valery needs to get back from his holidays before Friday.

Did James Ward-Prowse play? Still got the result we wanted.

Predictable cave in at the end. Ward Prowse was a liablility again defending, Armstrong should have been on from the start instead.

Oh dear, that was very hard to take. A very ordinary and thoroughly dislikeable Liverpool team average at best in the first half go through to thump us in the end. It would have been easier to watch if we had not score first....
