I thought this was a decent point. Well done Puel and the lads. Every game has not been like this, Chelsea away - all the pundits were saying how we were so easy on the eye; we can play when we want to and defend when we need to.
I think we are a much better side away from home. Top half plus cup final is a good season.

Have to admit that it was not pretty but all in all the one thing the team showed a lot of spirit which has been missing of late.
What a difference it makes when Forster moves of his line and commands his area big difference, still not seeing the best out of Boufal yet but l believe he will prove to be a good signing in the end.ln the end a good point even if it was not pretty for the purists

A turgid schittefest by 2 awful teams. Prowse and Davis will not be replaced by Les Reed and Saints will not have any ability to get service to Manolo while that midget tosser is in charge. Sack that tosser Les Reed and replace those two League rubbish players.

Ha Ha they keep trying to nick our best players and paying us millions for it and we still manage to mug them joking aside dull as dishwater two great saves late on to grab the point but we look a side with nothing left to play for.

Possibly the worst QPR match I have been to, not because of the result as actually Norwich werent that good either, but the sheer lack of invention & ideas from the halfway line forward, and the lack of committed, purposeful defending from the halfway line back. On this abject display I wouldnt trust any one of these players to sweep my driveway let alone kick a ball.

Worst than that the soppy c#nts then had the audacity to come over at the end (half heartedly and not in too many numbers either I might add -rather like the last playoff final!) and 'applaud' the fans, with only marginal more commitment & gusto to this than they did in playing the match.

If this second tier of professional football, then I'm sorry ITS FINISHED. Disgraceful!

Dear Manolo,

I quite understand why you want a transfer but I can assure you that your colleagues have all had the requisite IQ and eye tests and have, without fail, been passed. With all due respect, perhaps those beguiling runs you make are so well disguised that your team mates do not recognise and, consequently do not react to them. May I suggest that you need to learn to play the Southampton way. Be more obvious! Anyway, you must fulfil your contract at least until the end of this season and we'll see if any bids come in for you.

Yours,

Les

When did we become so BORING to watch?

Still we did manage to get atleast one shot on target so we must be improving!!!!!!!!!

My guess for the team to play Man Ure is 10 Goalkeepers and Gabbiadini up front.

Thoroughly enjoyable match but inevitably we ran out of steam simply because it was impossible to keep up this pace for 90 minutes. This style of play fast, exciting and good on the eye, demands we score decisively early on as inevitably the gas tanks will be empty towards the end.

Last night we lasted about 65/70 minutes and then it was over for our lads. Romeu particularly suffered after 70 mins when he started misplacing passes and tackles and making mistakes of judgement and positioning. He was absolutely spent and this took away the central defensive cover for the CBs. Once they were exposed to Sanchez and later Giroud it was game over. At least we gave it a go but the best team lost when they did not deserve to do so.

After 35 matches when will Puel learn that Redmond ANO Tadic does not work

We huffed and puffed and created a few chances, shading the first half, but the woeful Tadic fluffed the best chance and Czech saved well from Gab's follow up. Redmond was also a bit unlucky with a long range pile driver.
After the break and especially after they scored, we just capitulated and still didn't create too much - even with such an attacking line up. Too many unforced errors and wayward passing, running into trouble and going backwards unnecessarily.
When you have 3 or 4 either not interested or playing poorly, it is difficult for the rest of the team to compensate for the full 90 mins. Just how some remained on the pitch for the 90 was bizarre, but hey, we can only make 3 changes !!
We got stretched at the back and were out-muscled once Giroud came on, so the second goal was inevitable.
Another blank at home and we are left thinking that it was yet another performance as good as Sanchez taking throw-ins !!
