Certainly a game of two halves. I thought we looked pretty comfortable in the first half with the defence looking reasonably solid and Taarabt & Remy presenting a constant threat to the Hammers high defensive line.

An absolute contrast to the second half where it became a complete seige on our goal. Difficult to watch at times (literally as well as metaphorically given that most of the view came from a 100 yards away through a snowy haze) but credit to Rangers who really gave a resolute performance in defence.

Cesar undoubtedly my man of the match but I thought Fabio and Mbia put in good performances during that second half blitzkrieg.

A good point but it could have been 3 if we had taken our chances in the first half.Nice to see another clean sheet and Boruc was excellent. Mid field worked socks off yet again.

Thought team selection and substitutions were as NA would have made. Off to Barcelona to get to know the manager better and possibly a couple of new signings to strengthen the squad. Looks good but again NA would probably have done the same except going to Barcelona.

Dignified response from supporters,

Two things can be said about this tricky game:
1) The players showed real determination under complicated circumstances, so it was very pleasing to see their response on the pitch;
2) It was nice to see the will to shoot and try half-chances. Even though we didn't score, the fact is that more players tried Howard. Let's hope this will become a tendency.

A very mature reaction from the fans, it seems the most difficult part in the situation is behind us. We simply must continue to back the team, especially with ManU's game next. However it was just strange to experience several moments of complete silence during the game - I can't remember such quiet moments at SMS in the last years.

Good effort in the fist half, not so good in the second. Yoshida, man of the match in my view, another solid performance from the two young fb's and Hooiveld by far the weakest link in the chain.

A good performance and outplayed Everton for long periods. Some of the chances missed were poor and we could have done with the extra two points.

hi new to this 1st post, in my view , a point at stoke is a point gained considering their home form, we did have a bit off luck yes ,however people talk of the wonder goal, which indeed it was , but a second or two before he struck it ,our old mate crouchy brought down the ball with his "chest" to lay it off to the scorer , but in doing so used both his arms to do it . my first though was handball ,and the goal should have been disallowed ... watch the replay and see what you think ? .. nit picking i know but if they should of had a pen ,then this goal should not have stood .

i cant get to every game but when i do im normally a northam enderer , i had an unexpected free seat in the itchen, close to the home dug out ,a friend couldnt make it so gave me there seat .
Anyway i was very happy with our performance not so happy with the refs seemed to be looking after everton players . When a couple of time Curlylocks didn't get his own way he looked at the ref as if asking him to blow for a foul , and he got it.
shame about the chances we missed but at least we were in the right place for the chances if you know what i mean .
3 or 4 up by half time if we took them ? the whole team were excellent the new manager and his team of interpreters look like they know what they are doing , and we seemed to play more prem like . the crowd were great , showed respect to our nige and also to the new guy .i forsee that gaston and guly will thrive with him in charge , maya is quality now and doesnt take any shite from anyone, love puchs "shitbreak" moment .
After friday i was in complete disgust at what had happened to Nigel i almost hated sfc for about 48hours and pretty sickoned that he didnt even get a mention in the programme ?! , it took monday nights performance to make me love and adore my club again . not that i will ever forget .
In summary a very enjoyable (but bloody cold)point gained against a quality team in 5th pos.

No one deserves to be man of the mach for this.

Good to see Jude the Stadium Cat prowling around, and that sums the game up. I nominate him.
