Good draw for us. Thought Salisu was very good for a debut.

Good performance from Armstrong , he might have had a hat-trick on another day. Excellent assist from Nathan Tella who was only on pitch 3 for minutes. Salisu a bit shaky at start, but grew into the game and won few crucial tackles...will improve. Yet another clean sheet for Fraser Forster... Danny Ings - goal poacher - what more can you say, .....and the rest ......all DAJFU when it mattered.

How can anyone give more than a 1 to Redmond?? He has been totally useless in last 2 games. Can't pass, can't tackle, can't beat an opponent, can't shoot. I was trying to work out why he doesn't get substituted. I believe Ralph keeps him on to distract the opposition. While they are laughing someone else can score. Armstrong excellent as usual; Salisu nervy but did his job as did rest of defence; Tella quick of foot and mind; Forster to start Sunday.

Can't disagree with any of the comments above. I thought Armstrong was the best player on the park irrespective of his miss. Glad the Beeb thought likewise. The much maligned Bednarek was excellent, too and Fraser Forster looked solid when he had anything to do. I'd like to see Tella start instead of Redmond on Sunday.

WHAT A DRAW!!! Exactly what I’d hoped for in the team news post! Still great result and an even better draw! What a way to get to the Semi-finals at Wembley of the FA Cup!

It's been pointed out to me that there's a precedent for a team losing 9-0 in a season and then reaching the Cup final. Crystal Palace in 1989-90. They also avenged the 9-0 (against Liverpool) in the semi-final - which is a possibility for Saints too. Omen?

I presume Shane can't play against us? That aside, the Bournemouth team will be easy to motivate. If we play like tonight, I think we can do it but it's not going to be the easy stroll that some seem to think.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Wolverhampton Wanderers Polls |
