Leeds United to take starlet on trial from non-league high-flyers Sunday, 25th Nov 2018 15:21 by @LucasMonk_ Leeds United are to take 18-year-old midfielder Adam Lovatt on trial next month. Lovatt plys his trade for Isthmian League South Division side Hastings United. And both he and the club are flying high this season. He has attracted interest from further up the pyramid with a series of impressive displays. Hastings, meanwhile, find themselves in 2nd position and challenging for a play-off berth. Leeds have now stolen a march on the other clubs said to be interested in the midfielder's signature. As Hastings have confirmed on their official website, Lovatt will head to Thorp Arch for a five-day trial next month. United have made several forays into the non-league market since Andrea Radrizzani's takeover last year. Last season, strikers Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby moved to Elland Road from York City and Leyton Orient respectively. Edmondson made his senior debut in May against Queens Park Rangers, whilst Dalby has been a regular for the club's development squad. Time will shall if Lovatt will follow in their footsteps.
