End of an era as Jones leaves Spotland Friday, 22nd Jun 2012 18:14 by Col Gary Jones has today ended his Dale career and signed a one year deal with Bradford City. In what was not an entirely unexpected move, the club announced that Gary Jones had left the club fourteen years after first signing for Dale. The Dale captain leaves Spotland with a whole host of accolades, including being the club's record appearance maker and few could argue at his description as being the club's greatest ever player. In signing for the Bantams, he will reunite with his former Dale manager Steve Parkin who is assistant manager at Bradford. He has signed a one year deal with the West Yorkshire club and all eyes will be on October 2nd when for the first time in his career, he lines up against Rochdale. He turned down a switch to Bradford in favour of a two year deal at Dale but twelve months on, he finally makes that move. A full look back at Jonah's time at Dale will appear on here over the weekend. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
