Ruddy 'ell, that's shocking about Madsen (but not entirely surprising).

I couldn't see Celar's reaction when he came off, but am surprised he "kicked the dugout to pieces" - really?!

I always think, as others have said, that he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else than on the pitch, and would have been happy to escape from another bad performance. Then again, I guess maybe professional pride and the realisation that he really is not good enough for this level may have finally hit him today

Where hope went to die – Preview

Many thanks Clive - as noted above, you somehow get the right tone at the right time (everytime).

Have found myself nodding along to so many posters since Tuesday's mess. This is nearly all on Nourry (and the board for appointing him ).

Rather than analysing the mess, most of my headspace is worrying about the club's next decision. Lots of posters seem to agree that Nourry should go but being honest, does anyone think the club will actually do that? Instinct seems to be that Marti will get the boot first, then Belk, and eventually Nourry- but it will be too late and who know what the mess will look like by then.

Oh, and massive credit to all Rrrrrs fans making the trip today, goes without sayibg but the club doesn't deserve you.

Absolute Madness

That's how I saw the game, and players' performance, too. Madsen and Ashby in particular were doing my head in all game.

I'm usually in the happy clapper camp and always try to be patient - with managers, results and new players. But now we're bottom of the table, continuing to be patient with this is really testing me. We're not beating anyone playing like that - "circling the drain" was in the OP of another thread, and that's exactly what was going through my head towards the end of that game.

I know there were injuries, and we don't know exactly who has final say on signings, but the fact remains that we had nearly 2 weeks to get ready for that game - and we weren't ready. How is going to pick that lot up, and get them organized, to beat Coventry?

Said to my little girl at the end of the game - exactly as I did after we lost to Blackburn at home to 4-0 with Ainsworth - that I'm not taking her again until I've seen a performance. It's rubbish to watch at the moment and we're not showing enough desire either, so hard to get enthusiastic about anything I see, except possibly for the odd Nardi save, the odd moment from Demebe, and Frey's workrate

Kick off times
at 19:07 20 Sep 2024

Yep, exactly the same for me.
Another Saturday kickoff I can't make tomorrow.
The most I get out of sky is the 2 min highlights when I can't go and am too impatient to wait for the club to upload.

Excellent preview as ever Clive, thanks!
Yes, lots of parallels to draw and the similar form in the second half of last season is uncanny...
But haven't they still got the nutcase owner making decisions behind the scenes?
Dare I say I feel more relaxed than I would be if a Sheff Weds fan - have faith in Nourry and that if Marti moves on (hopefully not soon!) we'd make a sensible managerial change. Amazing what a difference a year can make!

Nygaard's St Patrick's Day miracle - History
at 22:30 1 Mar 2024

Other thing I think I remember about Nygaard was a home game (Watford or Luton I think), when he was back helping out, a long cross came over and he inexplicably put his hand above his head and handballed it for a stonewall pen. Absolutely ridiculous

As someone who's never managed to get to more than 5/6 away games a season, that match remains one of my favourite away game memories!

I still smile every time I think of the chant, hats off Tonto!

Richards…vanishing act again?
at 19:56 2 Jan 2024

Remember one one of the podcasts about a month or so back, Marti was asked why he'd been unavailable for a recent game and he said that he'd been unwell/ill but would be available soon - made it sound like a cold! Obviously nothing since then.

Seem to remember GA churning out a similar line when asked on a podcast as well.

Must be a dreaded question for Marti - how is he going to answer it if asked again, if the club is insisting on not letting the fans know what's actually going on?!

Not being able to make the bench yesterday makes me think we may never see him again (yes, we might say good riddance I know, but what a waste of the club's money)

Just to echo what others say and you've heard a million times before - but thank you.

Am a proper lurker, would post more but find it hard enough to keep up with reading all the interesting Rangers threads as well as all your previews, reports, and the the patreon content. And keeping up with all of life's demands!

I don't know how you do it, but the content's always gold and always worth the time (and small Patrón subs!).

Let's hope it's a better 2024, for you and Rs, starting tomorrow. Will be there in hope if not expectation

Each goal more farcical and easier to score than the last - Report
at 23:09 9 Oct 2023

Another depressed dad like you and Kingsbury. We missed the Watford game so Wigan was the last time she saw a home win. The curse, indeed.

I've said I won't take her again until we've got someone else in as manager - but I do wonder what a difference it will make, the club is so rotten at the moment, as several have noted.

Haven't had the energy to post until now but I think it was when we were 3-0 down, I noticed a boy and his (gran?)dad in the row behind us, both silently sobbing. Didn't know if I should feel more sorry for the lad, maybe at his first game, Rangers kit on etc, or the bloke - watching that shotshow unfold in front of him and feeling that his club was disolving in front of his eyes.

Someone said the club needs to burn down to come back stronger and it does feel like that - where will the lowpoint be?
