I really don’t mind too much if it’s called something else if it works - just keep it working around the resources available . |

Ndidi I think this is what I just called ‘successful disobedience’ on another thread, Mr Dorse. [Post edited 1 Jan 20:19]

He’s a very naughty boy…. …who has improved progressively based on what I can only assume is solid, progressive coaching and hard work. Credit to all concerned but especially to Paul for his attitude, effort and tireless running. |

I know Jack-shit about football systems, formations and tactics but I would guess that someone has finally understood that initiative = successful disobedience and has changed the ‘game model’ into something that more closely resembles a 433 that actually works for the players we have and the manger too. Probably way too simplistic but feel free to whip me, beat me and call me Beryl - I can send bitcoin to those that deserve it most. |

Fortunately, most were also pretty damn good at their day jobs today as well - long may it last, chaps. Bring on Loo-Town. |

They are going to have to update the injury update on a weekly basis soon. I can only hope that it results in some half decent loan coverage or a decent championship ready signing(s) that fits into the ‘game model’ with immediate effect. Or maybe use someone from the bench that can run, tackle, pass to a teammate and close people down just as efficiently. Not many people seem to like EDB coming back but I think he could do what Anderson did yesterday but with younger legs and lungs. |

I guess there will be a coffee club next to the performance and injury recovery centre in Dubai shortly…. https://www.londonworld.com/sport/football/qpr/qpr-another-injury-blow-watford-l It’s hardly that the guy has been overloaded with work recently and he should be used to colder weather - maybe it’s just that time of year when Danish Jesus needs to see one of the Kings - the one with the Gold (souk). |

I guess it’s a good time to say ‘this was the only selection I could make and I need some more players in January, Guv.’ |

Might as well put Dixon-Bonner in at this stage, nothing to lose and maybe some marginal gains over Madsen. Probably also worth a punt on cards, sendings off, hissy fits, handbags and pens. |
| Forum Reply | Supplementary uses of QPR at 06:40 29 Dec 2024
The irony of QPR being used as a coping mechanism appeals somehow. Next time I’m face first into in the MRI tube or waiting for the anaesthetic to kick in, I’ll see if it passes muster. My problem will probably be the same as Stuart Pearce’s though, picking the potential winning 11 by simply forgetting to select a ‘keeper. |

We’d probably manage to work out a way to restrict the views with the drones somehow !!! |

Thanks for the report (and impeccable player ratings), Jamie. As the late Richie Benaud would have said ‘it’s a fine effort, that.’ Now, somehow I just need to shake off the latest round of post QPR-SD before the next 45 Mins of water-boarding commences. |

‘I gave a view and nothing more than a passing sarcastic opinion about posters who say the same thing time and time again without evidence about Nourry’ As an editor and writer, I assume that you understand the power of written words and that sarcasm can sometimes come across much more powerfully when used in text and there’s no tone of voice or body language to help balance it out. There’s also little context applied when comments get read in isolation (multi-thread memory is not always available) so sometimes we can collectively experience potential overreaction. Perhaps you can help us out with your understanding and compelling use of the English language so that we argue less and maybe spend more time helping and supporting each other when results don’t go well. |

I’m not a footballer, a manager, a pundit, an ITK or a CEO - just a simple fan that has watched, supported and occasionally celebrated QPR for several decades. I can understand that disruptive changes took place close to kick off but I seriously hope that we don’t plan to start with the same back line for the next game. Maybe it will look more like the back four at the end of the game than the four that started it with Dunne and JCS in the centre providing a better balance. Why it took so long to adjust the defence however is beyond me because it was painful to watch the dysfunction and imbalance. What was even less explicable was the lack of any system (and associated possession) ahead of the defence because that wasn’t really changed in terms of personnel at all. Maybe Swansea were simply better, had a better plan and/or ate/drank less over Xmas. They were certainly good value for their 3 points in the first half and at times during the game, it felt and looked like they had more players on the pitch because they passed around us so easily. That’s the part that seems the hardest to explain because we’d seemingly managed to find a system and shape that prevented other teams from doing that when we didn’t have the ball previously. Hoping it was a mental/physical blip that can be corrected but time is not our friend between these games and Norwich will be looking at revenge so you can bet they should have a better game plan than last time. Maybe the lack of system was a cunning plan to befuddle and lull them into a false sense of security. It befuddled me at times but that’s not too difficult, as my dogs will confirm. Yes, the camera angle worked really well for the goal and celebrations. It’s also really easy to share the content with WA contacts and groups so it’s a smart piece of work for promoting the club (unless we play like yesterday and have nothing to share !). I just checked the link on my phone and it works indirectly through a second link that opens the App. Might not work so well if you have a laptop or desktop without the WA app installed but as you found, just a quick search for QPR in the WA Channels does the job. |
