I'd imagine we've gone past the deadline for loan recalls like the other loans I've read about (Woodman being one near miss) |

Re: Ryan Harrison, I had to double, triple and quadruple check that it wasn't a wikipedia vandalism as I don't remember him at all (Partly why I included him in the first round to see if anyone else did lol) According to many sources, he did indeed play for us. |
| Forum Thread | The Swansea City all-time tier list at 08:22 21 Dec 2020
I've recently become obsessed with tier lists. I love a tier list. You should too. (Who doesn't love tiers right now?) So I thought about compiling an all-time Swans player tier list to determine who is at the top and who is a flop. For those of you who don't know how a tier list works - firstly, where have you been? - it's simple. Each player is put into a tier that best reflects their contribution to the Swans in their time at the Vetch/Liberty. From the middle of the road in 'BANG AVERAGE' ; 'HEAD SLAPPER' for the worst players to pull on a white shirt and 'YOU JACK BASTARD' being reserved for the best of the best. Each round I will put forward 4 players; 1 goalkeeper; 1 defender; 1 midfielder; and 1 forward, all from different eras of the Swans history (might be tricky for younger viewers) for you to rank, discuss, debate and (presumably) argue over. General consensus will determine where each player will be placed in the tier list with any contentious decisions to be decided by me (because it's my ball and if I don't play, nobody gets to play.) I have compiled a list of Swans players from available online sources to include as many as possible and will select players at (sort of) random, so be patient if you're waiting for your favorite (or pet hate) to pop up. Feel free to suggest player(s) to feature in the next round (if we get that far) and I will try to get them in or add them to the list if I've missed them off. Yes, I attempted this on the other site but I got 1 good response, 1 response from someone who clearly didn't understand the concept and 1 asking questions about semantics, so hopefully more luck of a fun discussion on here... The tiers are as follows: 1. YOU JACK BASTARD - For the best of the best, club legends 2. First Team Player - played well but that's about it 3. Bang Average - they were just sort of there, nothing special, nothing disasterous 4. Who Are Ya? - if you have to squint at the name and try to remember 5. Head Slapper - for the absolute worst players to pull on a Swans shirt The first candidates; GK - Ryan Harrison DEF - Reuben Agboola MID - Pablo Hernandez FWD - Lee Trundle Go... |

If Wayne had done more - more goals and/or assists - he would have been snapped up long before now and we wouldn't be having this discussion. He is the perfect type of player that a club like us should be looking for. One transfer fee (plus wages) for 9 years of service reduces the need to go out and spend bigger transfer fees (and wages) for journeymen and flops. Judging by the comments from some of our players, they all seem to look up to him as well so that's something else he also brings to the team. Legend. |

I read somewhere that a team were playing crowd noise during a warm up match in which one of the coaches was reffing. He was so bad, they started playing "The referee's a w*nker" over the tannoy. Would be the most authentic matchday experience for our games. |
| Forum Reply | Who would you have replace Cooper? at 10:12 12 Feb 2020
We can forget about any established managers with a half-decent reputation as they will command a hefty wage (Hefty by our budget, at least). We're only going to go for young, up-and-coming managers with something to prove. We have to be realistic and accept that, until we're facing down the barrel of relegation, Cooper is here to stay. |
| Forum Thread | The 7 totems of Swansea at 13:58 15 Jan 2020
Has anybody watched the Netflix series 'You'? It's an excellent series, very suspenseful with intriguing characters and is very well written. Anyway, in one episode of the 2nd season, the main character learns of the '7 totems of LA', which are semi-unique sights/incidents of LA that, once you see all 7 you become a true Los Angelean and can 'never leave'. The 7 totems are; A roller blader in booty shorts A "ghetto bird" (police helicopter) Two girl’s in same dress at the same event A pack of coyotes A dog in a stroller An off brand super hero A palm tree on fire This got me thinking to what the 7 totems of Swansea could possibly be? Things that any true Swansea resident would have encountered at some point but not necessarily a fixture (like a landmark) and are semi-unique to the place. I'm struggling to think of any off the top of my head but I'm sure you clever/funny people might be able to come up with some good ideas... |

Personally, I would've sacked him after the Derby draw. Clearly, our 2nd tier level players should be easily capable of winning every single game they ever play in. |
| Forum Reply | Thats our lot ? at 12:37 7 Aug 2019
By my count we have: 4 goalkeepers 2 Right Backs 2 Left Backs 4 Centre Backs 3 Central/Defensive Midfielders 3 Attacking Midfielders 6 Wingers/Forwards 3 Strikers With a couple of players who can also do jobs in other positions if required, our squad is pretty stacked. We may still be in for another Forward (Wells?) as well, so unless there is movement out, I can't see there being much in the way of movement in. |

| Forum Reply | Making your own way v Going by coach to away games at 12:05 26 Jun 2019
Always prefer making my own way and staying overnight (or 2 nights ideally). Unfortunately, this means limiting myself to just a handful of games a season due to cost. I will be coaching it to Luton, though, due to the proximity to Christmas (Plus Luton is shiitehole) |
