17th, 18th, I don't recall, it wasn't great I know, Ralph was running out of steam to be sure, but my view always was that he was a good fit for SFC and sticking with him was our best hope of avoiding the drop that season.
Nothing that has happened since has changed my mind, in fact the opposite - it has reinforced that position. |

Maybe, but we see all our sacked off managers doing a decent job elsewhere, so the bigger problem is our club and it's inability to compete in the Prem. |

Saw them beat Reading last season with a last minute goal. Have to say thoroughly enjoyed the game, great little ground, good atmosphere. Made me laugh because they had a chubby midfielder - the sort I hadn’t seen for a few decades! |

Agree, the weeping and gnashing of teeth on here over a narrow defeat from a club 2 places below us has been unbearable. I thought Shankleys’s quote: Football is not a matter of life and death, it’s more important than that” was tongue in cheek, I’m not so sure now! |

I think it’s a good move, has not cut the mustard in the prem ever. Loved him last season and may love him next season. Maybe nick is letting his emotions dictate here, but Sulemana is different league and we may have a manager who can get a tune from him now. This move is completely logical. |
