A different audience to the comments in the thread but Motability Foundation was offering transport/research grants I think. Fairly sure one of the priorities was social contact/inclusion for people with disabilities. Would need a local, community transport type of partner to apply and would probably need to be a slightly bigger piece of work, maybe looking at barriers to access to local sports venues. Something like that. Going from memory mind with the above. |

Hi 49th Season, He might not be the only lyricist but not sure my stuff would be that suitable for a community choir. Far too much potty mouthing 😁 Just on my way to torture people at the Vicolo Del Vino open mic. Judd - yeps. Could do with chat with them anyway as I don't think I'm a million miles off re-assembling an old funded programme called Supporter to Reporter (just not in Rochdale - yet! 😁) It's only taken me eight years 😁 |

When I'm working with community groups I tend to get them to think about calendar events of significance as a way to increase their reach. So for the walking idea... GM Walking Festival is in May. The theme of Mental Health Awareness Week is 'Movement for Mental Health' etc etc.. Aligning with national campaigns like #campaigntoendloneliness (on the pub/community hub idea) are other ways to create a bit more oomph in terms of reach. Just find helps to structure thinking a wee bit and assist with planning. Given Ogden Foundation's focus on education, doing something around British Science Week might be interesting in terms of bringing new audiences into the ground. I'll shut up now or I'll bore you all to death 😁 |

Great news... Very obscure tangent but 'Physics in football' isn't a terrible project idea. How forces work in relation to stadium construction/ ball speed and travel and what not. Could be like Eureka! with little physics demonstrators around the stadium for education/learning purposes for schools. Anyway enough of that. |

I love the New Grayston Unity for music and what not (got a gig we're playing there on Thursday eve). It's a wee bit further up and into town but it's a pretty cool vibe. Think 1970s living room and you've about got it. |

Not sure if this is helpful or not but in funded projects I tend to borrow the Heritage Lottery equivalence rates for calculating the value of volunteering. Unskilled = Min wage Skilled = £20ph Professional = £50ph |

Going for 'The Man with the Rochdale Look in His Eyes' by The Tragics. They're alright for Halifax Town fans I suppose 😠Nice and folk punky. Not voting for our own 'Rebel Rebel (this is) Rochdale Petal' because it's not very good. Went a bit John Shuttleworth ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ |

I did wonder about this and whether a stadium build would be a chance to showcase innovation that the Advanced Manufacturing and Productivity Institute in Rochdale is involved with. Got to be honest though, what I know about manufacturing and the institute would fit on the back of a postage stamp. Could be the wrong type of making 😠|

Lurker alert! The £50/£60-ish suggestion seems a decent one to me because it's far easier to equate the amount to something real. A night out with the cost of beer at the moment, a taxi and a takeaway is going to be about that so something like "Staying in to support the Dale?". Something like that just to make it more relevant to everyday folks? Local businesses might not thank me for that though:/ £200 just sounds like spending a big chunk of utility bills for the month. Anyway not sure I'd be much cop as a marketeer and/or psychologist and maybe like other posters are saying there's probably a reason for the threshold but that was my big thought for the day. |

Someone from the recent hostile takeover attempts doing a Morrisey solo (the More You Ignore Me the Closer I Get)? Beware! I bear more grudges Than lonely high court judges When you sleep I will creep Into your thoughts Like a bad debt That you can't pay Take the easy way And give in Yeah, and let me in |

Had one of the crispy chicken kebabs as well, agree mostly naan bread so didn't enjoy it that much. Held together well though and didn't end up with sauce dribbling down my coat sleeve. |

One extra to the many brilliant moments already listed, for me, would be one I've probably added to in my imagination over the years... Evil surrounded by fog in a high scoring game against York with York players literally bouncing off him and crumbling into pieces as he storms off on a solo run down the length of the pitch like some kind of Viking hero. Not sure if we could see the goal because of the fog. Think it was 5 - 4 to Dale. It probably went nothing like that in reality 😠|

Faith No More supported by Riot Grrl band L7 at the NEC. Some time in the early 90s. Wasn't really my thing but I enjoyed it. Think the first gig of my choice might have been Mega City Four at the Jug of Ale in Moseley Birmingham. I remember it mainly because they did a great Husker Du cover. |

Am I allowed to say Fook Off Chalky yet? 😠To be honest, trying to remember beyond yesterday is a struggle these days but oddly I had to give regular updates on Nathan Stanton as at the time I was working with people that knew him at Scunny's Education Foundation. So that's pretty much all I remember 😬 I did play for the Dale fans team years ago and I was shockingly bad. Think I may have accidentally cracked a Hull fans ribs (he fell on my knee to be fair). Think Dale got battered 4-0?! that day at Boothferry Park. That's about the limit of my creds 😠Do I pass? |

Hi All, long time board lurker not poster so please be gentle 😠Firstly, massive thanks to the regular posters that have acted as translators to help fellow lurkers understand the various share related shenanigans afoot. Would've been completely lost otherwise. I did have a thought about the share issuing and whether fans could almost pool/come together as locality based micro-trusts e.g. Milnrow Dale Share Trust etc... Just wondered whether it might be an opportunity for the club/Trust to build/strengthen its networks across the Borough for it's community activities? Also to drive home the message that Dale is a community club. Then thought would that undermine the idea of protection in spreading the shares out as widely as possible.? Anyway, better to have the idea out rather than in 😠|
