Rochdale welcome Barnet to Spotland this Saturday for what marks the start of a busy spell for the Dale.
Games will come thick and fast for John Coleman’s side this week as they prepare for three consecutive home games — Fleetwood Town will make the trip to Spotland on Tuesday night in the first round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, while Burton Albion are the visitors next Saturday for the League Two fixture.
Both Rochdale and Burton head into this weekend’s encounter looking for their first win of the season. Burton have taken just one point from their opening three fixtures, while Rochdale have managed draws against
Northampton Town and Chesterfield to make it two points from nine.
John Coleman remains without the injured trio of of Matty Edwards (wrist), Reece Gray (ankle) and Luke Watson (knee) for the encounter, but could call upon transfer deadline day signing Bobby Grant if clearance is received from the Football League and Football Association.
Burton have also bolstered their squad ahead of the window closing with the addition of goalkeeper Graham Stack and defender David Stephens. The pair moved to the Bees from SPL side Hibernian.
