Its just painful - first the ITK rumours, then the press speculation, then the elongated waiting - its just ridiculous.
Also - why wait until after the start of the season? We had all damned Summer to strengethn the squad, if we all knew it did not have strength in depth then surley NW and the Board did?
Going back a while, getting players in took no time. When we signed John Byrne, the first look we had at him was when we played York City in the cup. A few days later he was ours. SImples.
With the likes of Roberts, Scotland, Ebanks-Blake, Smith etc all in limbo at their clubs, within our budget and technically available, why oh why have we not just signed two of them?
